Keltic Fire is a driving force amongst Celtic music in the Southeast today. If you
want original, hardcore, in your face, Celtic Rock, then this is the band you want
to see and hear. The band consists of: Brad on bagpipes, vocals, whistles, and
guitar, Megan on bass and vocals, Phil on guitar and vocals, and Nick on drums and
percussion. The band has played for quite a few Celtic events, including the Central
Florida Highland Games, a fund raiser Ceilidh for the New World Celts Lakeland
Chapter, and last years Half Way To St. Patty's event at the Dunedin Brewery, just
to name a few.
I have been fortunate enough to see the band live at all of these events, and each
time was a treat. The song Clumsy is a prime example of the traditional "Celtic
Spirit" this band has, and the talent is absolutely amazing throughout the entire
song. If this song doesn't get you going, then you must be dead. Even the older
folks that have attended some of these functions would get up to dance. Mind you,
they weren't exactly headbanging, or starting a mosh pit, but you could tell they
enjoyed the music all the same.
Brenda is one of the more heavier songs, and a phenomenal instrumental that I would
call Celtic music with a bite. Brad once again shows his outstanding piping prowess,
and the music just makes you want to move.
The band as a whole is completely filled with talent and I would have to say a must
see. If you have an appreciation of any Celtic influence in music today, then Keltic
Fire is the band for you.

Bio
A five piece band of precarious upstarts, Keltic Fire was formed in February of 2006. Originally a four piece consisting of: Brad on bagpipes, Phil on guitar and vocals, Nick on drums, and Megan on bass and vocals. They were brought together to bring a new and refreshing sound to Celtic Folk music. Keltic Fire has played various Scottish Games and Festivals, playing with groups such as: Hunting McLeod, Enter the Haggis, and the Glengarry Bhoys. Aside from the usual Scottish games and Irish pub venues, Keltic Fire has branched and played local rock clubs as well. In May of 2007 the band completed the lineup with the addition of fiddle player Jaron. The band is formed on the purpose of trying the unconventional and taking American and Celtic influences to a new level.
