Started in early 2009, the band Kelulu is a mix of Latin Jazz, Flamenco, Bembe, Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican Son, Huapango, and eclectic genres of modern Experimental Rock. It's members, Jorge Urbina (Guitar/Latin Percussion), Noel Hernandez (Guitar/Vocals/Auxillary) Jay Smith (Piano/Keys/Synth), Mike Montano (Bass/Auxillary), Alex Lopez (Latin Percussion), and Melanie Evans (Flute/Vocals) are commited to taking these genres into a provocative direction.
