Biography

I am the singer, the writer, the marketing guru and the manager. I have been an attorney for 35 years, specializing in helping the disabled obtain Social Security benefits. I was diagnosed with lymphoma last fall and decided to retire from law and concentrate on music. It's been an exciting ride and I hope to continue it at your festival.

Lyrics

Turn to the Light

Written By: Ken Collins

Turn to the Light

When the darkness falls down around you,
And the night tries to steal away your hope,
And you reach out for a little kindness,
But all your hand can grab is smoke,

When the days are at their shortest,
And the nights are so long,
And you feel you wait forever
For the promise of dawn.

You can turn, you can turn to the light.
You can take what is wrong and make it right.
You can find enough faith to give yourself the grace
To turn, turn to the light.

This world can be so dark and cold.
Sometimes all I find seems so mean.
The darkness seeps into your soul
And eats away the heart of every dream.

But there’s a bright light inside us,
That is love pure and clear.
And it’s the light of love
That makes the darkness disappear.

You can turn, you can turn to the light.
You can take what is wrong and make it right.
You can find enough faith to give yourself the grace
To turn, to return to the light.

Turn to the light, Turn to the light,
In the middle of the darkness, in the middle of the night,
Turn to the light, turn to the light.
There will always be another day to find the return of the light.
