Ken Connolly

Ken Connolly

BandRockSinger/Songwriter

My music is everything today's music isn't. It's rock, it's melodic, and it has personality. I also have a backup band called the Southeast Connection.

Biography

My music is heavily influenced by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan. The songs range from blues, rock n roll, to pop rock. My lyrics contain a certain type of imagery of love, lost, and desperation; looking to find the right person, place, and life to live.

These Lines

Written By: Ken Connolly

Will I see you again this time tomorrow
Will I know that you’ll wait for me
Or will there just be sorrow
Can you call me tonight, and tell me that it’s alright
Will you love me forever, and stay by my side

Or will you turn me away and stay behind your tears
You’re distant to me as you hide behind you’re fears
The days go by with no ease but I say to please
These lines are for you

All of these lines they speak the truth
All of the words that I sing, they are my proof
You can take it as it is or you can let it go
What you’ll say to me baby, I’ll never know

We go together but you don’t believe
Your heart is true but the eyes deceive
I’ve tried to forgive and I’ve tried to forget
It’s too hard to live with our whole lives set

Will I see you again this time tomorrow
Will I know that you’ll wait for me
Or will there just be sorrow

Learn The Rules

Written By: Ken Connolly

How many times do I have to tell you baby, how many times do you need to hear
That when I tell you that I love you, it comes out crystal clear
Don’t fall to a different rythym, don’t fall for another man
When it comes to getting the job done, I do the best I can

You got to understand that I ain’t the same man that drove you to tears
I might have the same car, have the same beard but it isn’t as it appears

Look at me I’m not the same
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game
I’ve got so much to offer that one man can claim
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game

I don’t care what your daddy says, I don’t care if its true
It’s you I want and it’s all I need, all I need to get to you
I’ll stand on your porch all day, all day until I get my way
Without you I’m just a stray, tell your dad I’m not okay

He’s got to understand that I ain’t the same man that drove his daughter to tears
I might where the same clothes, have the same beard but it isn’t as it appears

Look at me I’m not the same
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game
I’ve got so much to offer that one man can claim
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game

I beep the horn, I rev the engine
Trying my hardest to get your attention
I can do anything you want me to, just ask and I’ll do it for you
It might sound like a plea, just want you to be with me

Can’t escape these feelings that I’ve held on for so long
The hardest part is, you think that this is all wrong
I’m tired of thinking that you don’t give a damn
Look at me baby, I want to be your man

Look at me I’m not the same
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game
I’ve got so much to offer that one man can claim
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game
Let me learn the rules so I can play the game
