Ken Franz

BandCountryAmericana

Texas music combining contemporary country, swing, boogie, and acoustic rock

Biography

Ken Franz has been a strong presence in Milwaukee's music scene for many years. This singer/songwriter fronted two of the Midwest's permier country bands of the late 80's-mid 90's, "Showdown" & "Midnight Highway." Between both bands and his solo career he has entertained literally tens of thousands with his vocals, songs, and stage presence.

With influences that range from Pat Green and Robert Earl Keen to Jim Croce and Sister Hazel, Ken's songs are the product of a unique alchemy that works well. His songs are strong and heartfelt. He can get your toes tapping or tug at your heartstrings.

If it's a solo performance Ken draws the crowd in with his easy going demeanor and captures them with his lyric driven songs and baritone voice.

If a band is required, Ken has assembled a group of seasoned veterans who know what they need to do, to entertain the crowd. Their vocal harmonies come as naturally as breathing. Knowing that sometimes less is more, their instrumentation is never a cluttered mix and compliments each song.

Whether a solo or band situtation is required, Ken has the best of both worlds covered and will continue to entertain as many people as possible
