Sounding the call, Ken Lang is a contemporary Christian singer, musician, and songwriter whose stirring lyrics and inspiring trumpet solos have brought God’s people to a closer relationship with Christ.
Growing up in the north eastern farmlands of Maryland, Ken came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age. As he faced many uncertainties growing up in a non-Christian home, the prayers and attention of his devoted grandparents brought him to a relationship with Christ. Ken has been the devoted husband to Michele for the past 16 years, and they have three beautiful children: Courtney (11), Sean (9), and Rachel (4). The Lang family has been actively serving at the First Assembly of God in Elkton, Maryland since 1996.
As a musician with nearly 30 years of experience, Ken has been recognized for his life long musical achievements. Awarded with the recognition of Who’s Who in Music in 1984 and 1985, Ken was also decorated with the John Philip Sousa Award and the National Choral Award in 1985. As a member of the First Assembly of God worship band in Elkton, Maryland, Ken was one of the musicians who opened for a Ray Boltz concert at the First Assembly of God in 1997.
Pursuing his calling as a recording artist in 2000, Ken recorded and released his first CD, This Kingdom, a praise and worship album that captures Ken’s gifted vocals as well as his remarkable trumpet soloing. As a result of his efforts on this project, Ken received local radio airplay for the single “In Your Presence” and was a guest musician on the St. Joseph’s Baptist Church (St. Joseph, LA) television broadcast and the “Shish-ka-Bob” (Bear, DE) local cable broadcast featuring local artists.

In 2006, Ken expanded his musical horizons as a songwriter and released a series of original songs on his latest release, A New Day. One of those tracks, Well Done, is currently slated for nationwide release to Christian radio stations in early 2007. Complimenting his musical talents, Ken is also a professional member of the prestigious Gospel Music Association (GMA) and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
