Bio

The inspirational magic of creating great pop music is the energy that drives Kenli. A native New Yorker, Kenli was influenced and encouraged by his family to develop his talent. While teaching himself several instruments, learning to produce with a four-track recorder and penning songs, he fronted bands throughout high school and College. However it wasn't until he booked a national solo acoustic tour for himself, driving to the west coast and back, that he realized how vital performing was in his life. After his cross-country trek, he returned to New York and recorded his first self-released CD, "Blue Dot." Kenli's music caught the attention of Jive records that choose him as the 2001 Rock and Sole Band Search winner. This honor brought Kenli to play the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Denver Area Two Tour with David Bowie and Moby, Irving Plaza, NBC's July 4th celebration, and Universal Studios in Orlando. The "Blue Dot" album also recieved both small and major radio station support, garnering a number one hit on WVBR in Ithica and kicked off WHTZ, New York's legendary Z100's Style Jam 2002. Today Kenli has finished production on his new album "This Rose" which includes songs penned with Eric Bazilian (Hooters). "This Rose" will be available during the summer of 2005.

Kenli is the founding musician for the non-profit Musicians On Call and performs weekly in hospitals for pediatric-cancer patients, AIDS patients, autistic children and many others in need of healing. The organization awarded him a gold record for over six years of service and mayor Michael Bloomberg invoted Kenli to Gracie Mansion for the Mayor's Voluenteer Awards.
