Kennedy Road

The name Kennedy Road comes from a few different places in the past of the members. First and foremost, it is the name of the road where their practice space is located. This practice space has been called home by many other local musicians and this is also where the members of Kennedy Road first crafted their musical skills and style. So it holds an almost sentimental value for the band. Formerly known as Niteshift, Kennedy Road has played many high profile shows including opening spots for nationally touring acts such as Drowning Pool, Ra, 10 Years and Dry Kill Logic. They have also been asked to play for a Rock Against Violence benefit concert which was put on jointly by the Madison Wisconsin hospital and by the Madison Edgewood College. They were also selected to play at The Rave Bar in Milwaukee Wisconsin as a pre-show opener for the 2006 Sevendust tour which took place on the main stage in The Rave. By doing this they have joined a long list of bands that have since become known on a national level. More information on this venue can be found at www.therave.com. Other then these high profile shows, Kennedy Road is beginning to make a name for itself on the local bar scene as well. Kennedy Road makes regular appearences at some of the best bars for local music in the area. In addition to their live performances Kennedy Road has also been the featured artist on 2 seperate local shows on multiple occasions on the former Mad Radio 96.3 WMAD in Madison Wisconsin. Most recently, Kennedy Road has been asked to be one of the feature bands in a documentary about the music scene in Rock County, which is where the band is from. Eventually, the producers of this video hope to distribute it nationally and show it at all of the major film festivals. Kennedy Road will have every major performance video taped throughout 2007.
