From Kenneth:
It starts with a dream, a thought, an emotion... that's the lightening strike. From there it grows, it's nurtured. Through technique and faith, both gently and violently the songs take form. Guitar and Voice, these are my tools. The vehicles I use to breathe life into my worlds.

"I was born in Baltimore, the son of a musician. I've lived in and around Baltimore, Harlem, Hollywood, Asheville, Amelia Island, and passed through many others, all in pursuit of the music. I love that moment where I've tuned up my guitar and I have a blank piece of paper and a full cup of coffee. I love writing, that's how I make it through this crazy ocean that is life: writing & performing is my life jacket. I love the hush of an expectant audience, the eagerness and electricity. I write, produce and perform all original music, I'll throw in a few covers in homage to my teachers and forebears, but my music is mostly personal"

"My musical influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Ray Charles. I love Ray, I love Sting too, the ultimate craftsman. He weaves the written story telling prowess of Bob Dylan together with the consummate performing talent of some of the legendary jazzers. I get just as much inspiration from writers and movies and even sculptures. Bill Watterson's Calvin & Hobbes for instance, that comic strip has become such an indelible part of me, you can hear it in the songs."

"With my music I hope to share my joy and sadness. It's so neat how you can share something that is hurting you, and trade away the negative places and memories and ultimately end up feeling amazing. That's my debt to music, and that's my obligation too, to keep sharing it. I practice, rehearse and work at this for hours every single day, but I'm not nearly done, and honestly I still struggle with thinking myself as "good enough". I do know the emotions are honest, and I'm in it for keeps though, and that can only lead to good things.
