Marry That Girl

Written By: Kenny Francis

MARRY THAT GIRL

1ST VERSE

HIGH SCHOOL, BEING COOL,
DATING HER AND BREAKING RULES
PROM DANCE, ROMANCE
TAKING HER HOME LATE AGAIN
'TIL HER DAD MET US AT THE DOOR
TOLD ME NOT TO COME AROUND NO MORE
BUT I KNEW I' D BE BACK FOR SURE
CAUSE I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL

2ND VERSE

EDUCATION, GRADUATION
WE KNEW ALL WE HAD TO KNOW
A LONG KISS, GOES WITH
AEROSMITH ON THE RADIO
SIPPIN ON TINKLED PINK WINE
I STILL REMEMBER HOW I FELT THAT NIGHT
SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT NEXT TO HER
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL

CHORUS

WE FOUND LOVE THAT SUMMER UNDERNEATH THE STARS
WE LOST OUR INNOCENCE, AND GAVE AWAY OUR HEARTS
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL
AIN'T NO DOUBT IN MY MIND
THAT I FOUND THE ONE I WAS MEANT TO FIND
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL

3RD VERSE

THOSE DAYS FLEW BY
WE LAUGHED, AND I CRIED
HEARTS AND PROMISES
GET BROKEN SOMETIMES
GOD HAD ANOTHER PLAN
I COULDN'T HAVE LOST HER TO A BETTER MAN
HEAVEN MUST HAVE NEEDED HER
CAUSE I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL

CHORUS

AIN'T IT CRAZY HOW LIFE CAN THROW YOU CURVES
NOW AND THEN MY RADIO
TAKES ME BACK TO HER
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL
NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH
NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH
I WAS GONNA MARRY THAT GIRL

SOMETIMES

1ST VERSE

HELLO IT'S ME AGAIN
I CAN'T EVER CATCH YOU AT HOME
SEEMS ATLANTA IS GOOD FOR YOU
ME I'M DOING ALL RIGHT
BUT I MISS YOU SO MUCH
I'VE TURNED A DEEPER SHADE OF BLUE

CHORUS

AND SOMETIMES I FEEL SO ALONE
AND SOMETIMES I SIT AND TALK TO YOUR PICTURE
BUT YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL
AND SOMETIMES I GO FOR A WALK
AND SOMETIMES I CLIMB THESE WALLS
AND CALL YOUR NAME,GOD I NEED TO HOLD YOU TONIGHT
BUT YOU KNOW SOMETIMES, HAPPENS ALL THE TIME

2ND VERSE

I MAILED OUT THE PAPERS
EVERYTHING THAT YOU ASKED FOR
JUST LIKE YOU WANTED, SEALED AND SIGNED
WHEN YOU GET THIS MESSAGE
REMEMBER I STILL LOVE YOU
THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO SAY BUT GOODBYE

CHORUS

She Ain't Getting Any Prettier

Written By: Kenny Francis

SHE AIN'T GETTIN ANY PRETTIER

1ST VERSE

WE WE'RE WORKING A REDNECK BAR
DOWN IN CROSSVILLLE TENNESSEE
WHEN THE WAITRESS BROUGHT A SHOT TO THE STAGE
FILLED TO THE TOP WITH OLE JIM BEAM
SHE SAID IT CAME FROM THE BLONDE ON THE DANCE FLOOR
WEARING TURQOUISE BOOTS
SHE CAME HERE WITH SOMEBODY ELSE
BUT I THINK SHE'S GOT THE HOTS FOR YOU

2ND VERSE

WELL SHE KEPT BUYING ME WHISKEY
TILL I WAS FEELING PRETTY LOOSE
SHE WAS FAR FROM A BEAUTY QUEEN
EVEN THROUGH THE EYES OF A HUNDRED PROOF
I WINKED AT HER JUST TO HAVE SOME FUN
I WASN'T TRYING TO START A FIGHT
I KNEW BY HER BOYFRIENDS FINGER
IT WAS GOING TO BE A LONG LONG NIGHT

CHORUS

AND I SAID SOMEBODY BRING ME A CHASER
SOMEBODY DEAL ME A BETTER HAND
SOMEBODY BRING ME A CRYSTAL BALL
I WANNA SEE HOW THIS NIGHT ENDS
WILD WOMEN AND WHISKEY AND A JEALOUS MAN,
DON'T MIX, THAT'S FOR SURE
CAUSE I'M GETTING DRUNK AND HER BOYFRIENDS MAD
AND SHE AIN'T GETTING ANY PRETTIER

3RD VERSE

WELL, GILLEY SAID THE GIRLS ALL GET PRETTIER AT CLOSING TIME
HE MUST HAVE HAD SOMETHING STRONGER IN HIS GLASS
THAN WHAT I HAD IN MINE
AND I BET HE WASN'T DEALING WITH A MAN
WITH DAGGERS IN HIS EYES
I HAD TO GET OUT OF THAT SITUATION
WHILE I WAS STILL ALIVE

The Heartache

Written By: Kenny Francis

THE HEARTACHE

1ST VERSE

HE GAVE HER EVERYTHING, A WOMAN COULD EVER NEED
EVER WANT, SHE WAS HIS WHOLE WORLD
A HOME IN A QUIET LITTLE TOWN,
HE KEPT HER SAFE AND WARM, HOW HE LOVED THAT GIRL
BUT OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE SKY
SHE TOLD HIM SHE WAS LEAVING
SHE DID'T LOVE HIM ANYMORE
THIS STORM CAME OUT OF NOWHERE
WENT BLOWING THROUGH HIS SOUL
AS HIS KNEES HIT THE FLOOR

CHORUS

AND HIS HEART BROKE, LIKE CRASHING THUNDER
AND HIS TEARS FELL, JUST LIKE THE POURING RAIN
SOMEWHERE IN HIS MIND, HE TURNED A LITTLE COLDER
THE ONE HE LOVED, JUST SAID GOODBYE
THERE HASN'T BEEN A HEARTACHE LIKE THAT
COME THROUGH HERE IN A LONG TIME

2ND VERSE

A LITTLE TIME WENT BY
IN HER HEART SHE REALIZED
WHAT SHE DONE WAS WRONG
SHE PACKED HER THINGS AND HEADED BACK TO THAT LITTLE TOWN
SHE DROVE ALL NIGHT LONG
AND THE LIGHTNING FLASHED
WHEN SHE PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY AND RAN TO THE DOOR
BUT THE SHADOWS ON THE WALL
SAID ALL THERE WAS TO SAY AND SHE SAW EVERY WORD

CHORUS

AND HER HEART BROKE, LIKE CRASHING THUNDER
AND HER TEARS FELL, JUST LIKE THE POURING RAIN
SOMEWHERE IN HER MIND , SHE TURNED A LITTLE COLDER
THE ONE SHE LOVED, JUST SAID GOODBYE
THERE HASN'T BEEN A HEARTACHE LIKE THAT
COME THROUGH HERE IN A LONG TIME

Don't Make Me Cry

Written By: Kenny Francis

DON'T MAKE ME CRY
1st verse

Love's a beautiful thing
Between a woman and a man
Until it cuts you like a knife
It can wound your soul
And rip your heart into
And leave you lonely in the night
Baby can't you see, what you're doing to me

Chorus

Can't you love me again
Can't you hold me in you're arms
Don't say goodbye
My heart can't take, you throwing us away
Don't make me cry

2nd verse

Love can be faithful
Love can be untrue
Love can leave you shattered in the wind
You can hold it tight
And swear you'll never let go
Then it slips right through you're hands
You're slipping right through my hands

Chorus

Bridge

It used to be so good
It used to be so right, you and me together
Never was there any doubt
I could only see, you and me forever

BUS 42

1ST VERSE

YOU LIVED DOWN THE ROAD FROM ME
ON THE FARM WITH APPLE TREES
WE BOTH ROAD BUS FOURTY-TWO

YOU PASSED ME A NOTE ONE DAY
DO YOU LIKE ME LIKE I LIKE YOU
I WROTE BACK , YES I WILL FOREVER
WOULD YOU LIKE TO SIT ON THE BACK SEAT TOGETHER

CHORUS

WISH I COULD GO DOWN, THAT ROAD AGIAN
ON BUS FOURTY-TWO WHERE LOVE FIRST BEGAN
IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME, I'D BE SITTING WITH YOU
HOLDING YOUR HAND, RIDING TO SCHOOL ON BUS FOURTY-TWO

2ND VERSE

WE HAD FUN ON THAT OLD BUS,
BEING KIDS AND CUTTIN UP
I STILL REMEMBER OUR FIRST FIGHT
YOU DIDN'T TELL BILLY JOE TO MOVE
WHEN HE SAT DOWN NEXT TO YOU
AND I ENDED UP WITH A BLACK EYE
I THOUGHT FOR SURE I HAD LOST YOU TO HIM
BUT THE NEXT DAY YOU WERE BY MY SIDE AGAIN

CHORUS

BRIDGE

TODAY I WAITED FOR THE KIDS AFTER SCHOOL
AND WHEN THE BUS PULLED UP IT WAS BUS FOURTY-TWO
AND THE DUST FROM THE TIRES BLEW PAST MY FACE
FILLED WITH ALL THOSE MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY

CHORUS
