Feeling a bit camera shy
Bio
El Paso born, Kenny Palyola grew up on
blues, soul and the sounds of Texas.
Migrating south to Houston to play blues
amonst the gulf coast greats, Albert Collins,
Joe Hughes, Texas Johnny Brown and others,
Kenny joined up and tenured with Houstons
top blues artists such as Sonny Boy Terry,
Clarence Perry and guitar whiz Tony Vega.
He also toured and performed all over the southern states
with Austin based musicians and artists
Teddy Morgan, Joanna Ramirez, Tony Redman,
Spencer Jarmon and many others.
Eventually Kenny would have to start his own band,
and in recent years has developed one of Texas'
most soulful and powerful vocal styles influenced by
soul blues singers- Bobby Bland, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke.
Kenny now lives and performs in Houston, having been in Austin many years.
Kenny can be seen around Texas performing
with his blues/soul trio now featuring Austin blues legend John McVey on guitar.
John has toured extensively with Larry Davis and Lavelle White
and will have a new CD released soon.
This trio is ready to perform anywhere in the US,
and provide a top notch professional blues performance.
