"Last weekend, the Kenny Welch Band played at the Coyote Ridge, country night club, in Monroe. The band consists of Kenny on lead vocals, two guitars, bass and drums. Kenny has a strong country voice and a commanding stage presence. The band is pretty tight with a great chemistry between the bass player and drummer. However, the band also had some surprises. The band played some of the material written for an up and coming project and it was very strong. Much of it was written by band guitarist, Mark Robinson, and it sizzles like a hot summer night. Some of it has the throw-back feel of real southern rock."
