"Stay Out of Trouble" - 2005
JetSpeed Records Enterprises

Feeling a bit camera shy

The quintet from Washington State features very catchy songs filled with remarkable hooks and harmonies. From the small city of Grandview, Washington (population 8,000), Keno consists of five young men who just signed with JetSpeed Records in October of 2003. Keno is made up of Andy Smith, 20, who plays the bass, James Timmons, 22, who sings, Kris Bennett, 20, who plays guitar, Darren VanCorbach, 18, who plays guitar, and Heath Ripplinger, 21, who plays drums and sings backup. This young energetic band plays a breed of rock, punk, and pop rock on par with bands like New Found Glory, One Dollar Short, and Yellowcard.

Andy and Heath grew up together and the whole group got together three years ago. James writes lyrics for the band and he says he gets inspiration from life, love, and certain moments. Their influences range from bands like Rage Against the Machine, Pennywise, and Blink 182. Above all, Keno enjoys playing live. One of their most memorable performances was a spot in the Warped Tour in Vancouver in 2002.

Keno's music is featured on Spike TV's "10 Things Every Guy Should Experience" and Spike TV's "Tripped Out". Keno is also in talks to be played on MovieTunes and their first single "Taking Moments" will be a feature song for a Spelling Productions TV show called "Clubhouse" airing this fall on CBS. This summer Keno will be performing around Washington state for most of August and September.
