KENTEXT THE GOD OF QUAM

KeNtext the God of Quam born in the Bronx, New York developed his lyrical skills through the inspiration of pioneers such as Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Cold Crush Brothers, Treacherous Three, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaac, and Barres Hammond, just to name a few.
Known more as a “Rhythmic Poet”, Quam has a cutting edge style, brining a heavy dose of reality with his blunt lyrics that’s sure to wake the masses that are blind, and offend the others who choose not to see.
At the tender age of six, Quam was gifted with the ability of free styling. Fascinated with the culture of Hip Hop, he later honed his skills into break dancing, where he became a member of the dance group Hill Top Breakers. Quam had a refreshing and unique style all of his own creating a following for the group, which soon led them to perform for Dougie Fresh and the Zulu Nation Anniversary Festival; all while continuing his love for the rhythms of lyrics.
In 1997 Quam co-founded the group Re Die Rectin Energeez. Inspired by a song he and his partner Dean the Master Mind Architect created. Together they have opened for KRS1, Next, Africa Bambata, Common, Dead Pres, Poor Righteous Teachers, and many others. KeNtext is also a member of Galaxy 7, and SOF (Skills of Fam). He is affiliated with Nationall Godz, featuring his brother Allah Solar, and Arabian Prince. To describe KeNtext the God of Quam as a rapper would be an understatement and an insult. Especially considering the shallow and critical state the industry of Rap has become. That is a game he plays no part of; therefore he considers himself more of an Emcee. Quam has the unique ability to master the attention of the audience, as he takes them on a journey of conscious twist of soul tappin, mind snappin funkality ~
