Bio
Kent Heckaman is a seasoned music producer specializing in indie acoustic groups. Kent's latest accomplishment is with the new indie band Sonnet Cottage, based in northern Virginia. Sonnet Cottage's debut release - Another Time - is set to release in late April, 2012.
Kent is a classically trained pianist and also studied jazz theory. What makes the music that Kent composes and albums he produces so special is his approach to fine tuning every aspect of the recording, focusing on an ethereal approach with often somber melodies. Influences include Tori Amos, Brian Eno, Kathryn Williams, Over the Rhine, and Laura Veirs.
