Bio

God's Son of Soul has Returned!

No longer a well kept secret, Kenton Rogers returns after more than a decade of absence since his last contribution to the musical tapestry and landscape of our time. Kenton has redefined himself and his music by reaching beyond the boundaries of gospel and has embraced his musical passions to arrive at a sound that is uniquely his own. If you thought you were acquainted with him, think again. This is a new and more mature Kenton, who's more certain than ever with regard to his convictions and purpose in life, and that fact resonates through his music.

With Kenton's emancipated and trans-genre approach, his premiere Urban/R&B single, "Confession of a Preacha Man", to be released October 15, 2007, from his forthcoming project "Reality Check" is thought provoking, brilliantly profound, and already sparking conversations among the churched and the un-churched. "Confession of a Preacha Man" is destined to be the topic of discussion on many television and radio talk shows around the world. Also included on the single release is "Ridin High", where Kenton utilizes his ability to effortlessly blend soulful gospel vocals on top of a bouncing Hip Hop track. This track lyrically celebrates his survival through his trials, tribulations, and encounters with nay sayers.

As a youngster, Kenton commanded the Amateur Night stage of the World Famous Apollo Theater, then hosted by The Late Ralph Cooper. His moving performance of the "The Greatest Love of All" was awarded first place; and we all know, the Apollo has been dubbed the toughest audience in the world. His gospel performances today, have only increased in intensity as he continues to prove his ability to uplift, and entertain diverse audiences around the world. For the past three years he's been a featured guest on the Jerry Lewis M.D.A. Labor Day Telethon in NewYork, hosted by Tony Orlando and Russ Salzburg, and each year he leaves the hosts, as well as studio and television viewers, inspired and in awe.

Kenton Rogers has been afforded the opportunity to perform throughout the United States, Hawaii, Japan, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. With his charismatic personality and uplifting, soulful & distinct voice, Kenton is among a rare breed of performers, and his longevity in the music industry is assured.

If you've not had the privilege to partake of a Kenton Rogers performance, it is highly recommended you do. The experience will prove to be electrifying, inspirational, and unforgettable; one that leaves his mark on your soul. You'll feel the passion, you'll see a seductive, yet sincere smile and with an in-depth sense of spirituality he will welcome you into his world, and once you're in, you'll enjoy the journey.
