Bio
Born and raised in Mississippi, I learned the richness of soul, blues and rock music. My mother a singer herself, is one of my biggest influence's and supporters. Growing up listening to legends like Al green, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Marvin Gaye, helped me to expand the way I not only sang but performed as well. One thing my mother always told me was you have to do the uncomfortable to get the comfortable.
So for more than 10 years I have been grinding hard in Chicago. Writing, producing and fine tuning my craft is an average day for me. When I perform a show, I want the audience to forget their worries for the time their at a " Kentrell" show. Connecting with my audience in a way that brings them joy, is one of the reason's I give them every bit of me on stage. My music is soul fufilling and heart warming. because I have been influenced by so many Soul and Pop legends, I feel that my sound is "Pop Soul". My sound hits every core of human emotion. I'm so fortunate to have this talent, I plan on using it to bring happiness to the masses!
I'm currently signed to "Jive Records", and my first single "Encore" is avalible on itunes for purchase. We are receiving rave reviews, as well as spins on multiple radio stations.
