Bio

Kerryann Catherine Fingerle was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has always loved music but not quite as much as Indian food and mangos. Kerry started playing piano in early elementary school and then started to play percussion (classical and drumset). She began writing music in fifth grade, and composed a series of pieces called "The Breakfast Club," containing piano music named after various breakfast foods (her favorite of which is Strawberry Pancakes).

Kerry started singing (in public) in January of 2011. She became inspired after seeing Brandi Carlile in concert and started to learn guitar. She recently started taking voice lessons with a local teacher named Beth Major and found out that they are incredibly fun. She also took one guitar lesson, but her junior year of high school has eaten up all of her free time, so no other guitar lessons have followed.

In January of 2011, Kerry performed in Future Stars at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. That was her first, and so far only, time singing in public. She loved the experience. Kerry hopes to pursue music and performing in the future, but only second in her goal to attend some sort of Liberal Arts College in the fall of 2012. Her dream is to write a comedic song pledging her undying hatred for Fox News.

Tip: If you ever need to recognize Kerry in public, she is probably wearing knee-high pink Hunter wellingtons and red suspenders.

People Who Inspire Kerry: J.K. Rowling, Wally Lamb, Brandi Carlile, The Avett Brothers, Judy Collins, Susan Werner, and all of her teachers.

Kerry's Unanswered Question of the Moment: Has Sarah Palin ever heard "Where Have all the Flowers Gone?"
