Singer/songwriter Kerstin Stilling from Sweden recently scored high in SOTY songwriting competition in USA. As a finalist in instrumental/jazz/world category Kerstin Stilling shows her skill as a songwriter. Her second album is due to come soon. 14 new songs are waiting to be recorded.
Judges in the SOTY songwriting competition are Norah Jones, Bon Jovi, Sheena E among many others.
- Song Of The Year
Kerstin Stilling was nominated among thousands of songwriters with her song Waltz In December in Best Jazz Female Vocal of the year in the Los Angeles Music Awards competition 2007. And she Won!!
The Main Event took place at the Henry Fonda Theatre at Hollywood Boulevard the 29 of November.
Now she´s waiting for her plaque to be shipped over to Sweden. Because of this award she was invited to the GRAMMY awards in Sweden at Globen. - Los Angeles Music Awards
Discography
Released my first album 2004 "noisiness&restlessness", played at several radiostations. Winner Best Jazz Female Vocal in Los Angeles Music Awards 2007. The song "Much More Better" from my latest album "Much More Less" was honored Finalist in Song Of The Year aug 2008 and played in a radio-interview recently.

When I won the Swedish Air-guitar competition, because no other girl went up on stage, I grew. A lot. Maybe I could get closer to my dream of making music? I had been writing since I was seven, but never thought of it as a job..Now several years after I´m happy I was crazy enough trying! In Hollywood 2007 winning Best Jazz Female Vocal, I was proud. The growing-pain had made me taller.
I finally reached my goal!
