Bio
Born and raised in South County,Rhode Island, Keturah picked up her first guitar, her mother’s Goya, at the age of 14. She was writing lyrics by the time she turned 16, and at 22 began playing local open mics. In 2005, Keturah broke onto the Providence, RI music scene opening for local stars such as Becky Chace, Marcy Lang, The Candace Brooks Band, Heather Rose and the Drama, and Janus Code. In 2006 Keturah opened for nationally touring artist Pamela Means, and the highly accredited band Sirsy in 2008. With influences such as Stevie Nicks, Wynonna Judd, and Ani Difranco, Keturah's music defies any particular genre and reaches the souls of every true lover of music. Keturah sees music as a language spoken by all and as having the ability to break down the barriers created by so many in today's world. Keturah is currently working on material for her second album, which will hopefully be released in Fall 2008. The debut album My Life As I've Known It, released in 2007, is available through CDBaby.com, ITunes.com, Rhapsody.com, and of course at all live shows! Keturah is booking now through 2008.
