Kevin Martin

Born and raised in the small mining town of Kimberley B.C., Kevin's musical life started out playing in the school band and jamming in the basement with his buddies. In his early 20’s he hit the road with a few different bands playing the bars of Western Canada. Tired of the grind of the road Kevin moved to Northern Alberta and starting working on a degree in Education. While in school he started doing pub gigs in a duo with his friend Klay. After Graduation Kevin moved to Camrose Alberta where he got a job teaching in an alternative school there. In his second year at the school he started giving guitar lessons to the students,  which after a few years grew in to a full fledged “school of rock “class. He has gone on to work on reserve in Northern Alberta as a Principal and Teacher, bringing a love and appreciation for music to the children in those communities. Kevin believes in not only teaching kids to play instruments, but to fully explore their creativity and self-expression through music. "It is a great privilege to be able to share the gifts I have been given through my musical journey with others. Music is, for me, a drop in the water which ripples out and touches more lives than we can ever know."
