Biography

Eastern Canada has produced many world-class performers and New Brunswick’s Kevin Chase is no exception. With two ECMA nominated albums under his belt, this songwriter and performer has, over the past decade, established himself as a solid fixture in the East Coast music scene.

Chase’s latest album ‘I Won’t Fall’ was nominated for the 2008 East Coast Music Award ‘Country Recording of the Year’. His outstanding performance at the ECMA Country Showcase earned him an invitation to perform at the 2008 Maritime Country Fest in Fredericton, NB.

Recorded in Nashville, the album ‘I Won’t Fall’ consists of ten mid-tempo contemporary country tunes, seven of which were penned by Chase himself. 'The Rush', a NASCAR inspired anthem released in April, reached #44 on the top 100 Canadian Country Music News charts. It also placed among the top 100 for 2007 on the Country Music News Top 100 CanCountry Hits. As of July ’08 the single “I Won’t Fall’ has reached #34 on the charts. This tune is a personal testament from Chase to all those who have ever considered giving up on their dreams.

Kevin Chase’s style, described as a cross between George Strait and Brad Paisley, and influenced by such musicians as Garth Brooks and Keith Urban, remains uniquely his own. He has had the pleasure of working with such artists as George Canyon, Doc Walker, and Aaron Pritchett, to name a few. Television viewers all across the country will get a chance to see Kevin Chase perform on Radio-Canada’s renown program ‘Pour l’amour du country’ in the 2008-2009 season.

Please listen for the latest release to radio ‘I’m Coming Home’ on your local Country Radio station.

It's A Long Way To Your Heart

Written By: Kevin Chase

IT’S A LONG WAY TO YOUR HEART

YOU’RE THE GIRL I SEE IN MY WILDEST DREAMS
A LITTLE OVER THE EDGE DON’T SEEM THAT STRANGE TO ME
YOU’RE THE GIRL DOWN THE HALL ROOM 109
THE WAY YOU GIVE ME THAT LOOK EACH TIME YOU PASS ME BY

I CAN’T SEEM TO READ YOUR MIND
ARE YOU FOOLING
OR ARE YOUR FEELING’S THE SAME AS MINE

CHORUS

IT’S A LONG WAY TO YOUR HEART
I GUESS I’VE THAT FROM THAT START
IT’S JUST LIKE YOU TO BE
A HARD TO GET FANTASY
IT’S A LONG WAY TO YOUR HEART

I GUESS I’LL NEVER KNOW IF I DON’T ASK
I BETTER GET IT IN GEAR
I WON’T GET A SECOND CHANCE

A STRAIGHT ANSWER IS ALL I NEED
AM I DREAMING
WILL YOU MAKE A FOOL OUT OF ME

CHORUS

BREAK

CHORUS

The Rush

Written By: Bryan D.Way/Kent Forward

THE RUSH

YOU MIGHT SAY I’M CRAZY
AIN’T GOT NO TREAD ON MY WHEELS
BABY THAT MAYBE
BUT I LOVE HOW IT FEELS

(CHORUS)
AT TWO HUNDRED MILES AN HOUR
POURIN’ ON THE POWER
PEDAL DOWN AND A TIGHT TURN COMIN’ UP
I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY
STANDINGS AND THE GLORY
I JUST DO IT FOR THE RUSH

TEN THOUSAND HORSES POUNDING
THAT’S THE SOUND IN MY VEINS
THE WORLD’S A BLUR AROUND ME
IT’S A HOWLIN’ HURRICANE

(CHORUS)
AT TWO HUNDRED MILES AN HOUR
POURIN’ ON THE POWER
PEDAL DOWN AND A TIGHT TURN COMIN’ UP
I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY
STANDINGS AND THE GLORY
I JUST DO IT FOR THE RUSH

(BRIDGE)
COULD COST MY LIFE NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
BUT I DON’T WANT TO LIVE WITHOUT IT

(REPEAT CHORUS)

I Won't Fall

Written By: Kevin Chase

I WON’T FALL

SO MANY YEARS GONE BY
SO MANY TEARS I’VE CRIED
I’M STILL STANDING TALL

OF ALL THE WALLS I’VE FACED
AND THE THINGS I TAKE
I BREAK THROUGH THEM ALL

(CHORUS)
I DON’T NEED NO RENOVATIONS
I DON’T NEED TO CHANGE AT ALL
ALL I WANT IS PEACE OF MIND
WHEN MY BACK’S AGAINST THE WALL
I KNOW THAT I WON’T FALL

NOT A DAY GOES BY
I WONDER IF I’ VE DONE RIGHT
OF ALL THE CHOICES I’ VE MADE

IF I COULD DO IT AGAIN
I’D DO THE SAME DAMN THING
I DID BACK THEN

(CHORUS)

(BRIDGE)
IF I SPEND ALL MY TIME
WISHING AWAY THE THINGS I’ VE DONE
I’D WASTE MY TIME
YOU CAN’T CHANGE MEMORIES
IF ALL MY DREAMS
DON’T END UP THE WAY I WANT
TELL MYSELF THE BEST IS YET TO COME

(CHORUS)

I'm Coming Home

Written By: Kevin Chase

'I'm Coming Home'

What can I say
Been thinking of you ever since I left
I think I made a mistake
All I hear is your name pounding in my head
How I wish that you could see
Right or wrong, how your love is affecting me

'Chorus'
I'm coming home
To show you how I love you
It's more than words can say
From a million miles away
I'm coming home
In hopes that you'll imbrace me
I swear that your love changed me
A difference of night and day
I'm coming home

What's taking so long
I've been riding this bus for a long time now
can you hurry along
I've got a lady at home I haven't seen in a while
I've been waiting patiently
to see her smile
and hold her close to me

'chorus'

'bridge'
I swear that your love changed me
I'm missing you
I hope that you will feel the same way too
I'm coming home

'chorus'

'tag'
I swear your love changed me
I'm coming home
More than words can say
I'm coming home
