"Country Music News"

"Kevin Chase is a Moncton, New Brunswick-based singer/songwriter making his second album outing with I Won’t Fall. Chase delivers his music with a Garth Brooks feel to it…good company to be in"..." the guy can sing, and when he latches onto a special piece of music, he certainly can grab your attention. The one item here that stands out above all others is the blue-collar message tune One Minute, one of two songs contributed to the project by Nashville songwriter Johnny Spears. Kevin Chase puts a certain fever to this cut.. "

"A lot of the mood here is slow to mid-tempo love songs. Tunes like You’re Alright, It’s A Long Way To Your Heart, One Of A Kind, Guilty, and I’m Coming Home, all come from Kevin Chase’s own pen..."
"Not surprisingly, the album’s title track, is one of the better items here. It’s a ballsy, message type song, given a string treatment, and that alone places it one notch above. It helps also that Kevin Chase is at his best vocally on this item…a likely candidate for a hit single. The song, The Rush, penned by ex-Canuck Bryan Way, now working out of Nashville, is another of the better tunes on the album.

I Won’t Fall was produced by Jeff DeBusk (Katie Mission, Brandon Giles, Beth Harris, etc.), and recorded in Nashville."

"Moncton's Kevin Chase offers laid-back tunes"

Moncton's Kevin Chase returns to the stage with his second offering, an album of well written, laid-back country tunes with sweet ballads like "You're Alright" and the title track to fun country rockers like "A Little Something". Opening track " It's A Long Way To Your Heart" is a standout tune, as is the heartfelt title track. The songs are enjoyable and well written. The playing, done by some exceptional Nashville pickers, is great. The light production actually reminds me of a late-'80s, early '90s album which is kind of cool. An enjoyable country album from a Maritime talent.

Bio

Eastern Canada has produced many world-class performers and New Brunswick’s Kevin Chase is no exception. With two ECMA nominated albums under his belt, this songwriter and performer has, over the past decade, established himself as a solid fixture in the East Coast music scene.

Chase’s latest album ‘I Won’t Fall’ was nominated for the 2008 East Coast Music Award ‘Country Recording of the Year’. His outstanding performance at the ECMA Country Showcase earned him an invitation to perform at the 2008 Maritime Country Fest in Fredericton, NB.

Recorded in Nashville, the album ‘I Won’t Fall’ consists of ten mid-tempo contemporary country tunes, seven of which were penned by Chase himself. 'The Rush', a NASCAR inspired anthem released in April, reached #44 on the top 100 Canadian Country Music News charts. It also placed among the top 100 for 2007 on the Country Music News Top 100 CanCountry Hits. As of July ’08 the single “I Won’t Fall’ has reached #34 on the charts. This tune is a personal testament from Chase to all those who have ever considered giving up on their dreams.

Kevin Chase’s style, described as a cross between George Strait and Brad Paisley, and influenced by such musicians as Garth Brooks and Keith Urban, remains uniquely his own. He has had the pleasure of working with such artists as George Canyon, Doc Walker, and Aaron Pritchett, to name a few. Television viewers all across the country will get a chance to see Kevin Chase perform on Radio-Canada’s renown program ‘Pour l’amour du country’ in the 2008-2009 season.
