Bio

Kevin knew from an early age that he wanted to sing and write music. As a child growing up in Dallas, Texas, he sang in school musicals. He and his sisters and brother would rehearse at night to the music of the Jacksons.
He auditioned and was accepted into the theater cluster for musical theater at Booker T. Washington’s High School of the Performing and Visual Arts (formerly Arts Magnet) in Dallas, Texas just two days before school was to start. Theater coordinator Louise Smith said, "Kevin knew that it was already long past the deadline for admittance into the school, but he asked for an audition anyway. He said if I heard him, I wouldn't be able to refuse him. He was right and was immediately accepted." While at Arts Magnet, Mr. Christian was in numerous plays inside and outside the school. He starred in several films still shown in high schools throughout America. He was chosen by a casting director to be an extra in the movie "Born On The Fourth Of July" starring Tom Cruise. He furthered his music and music theory studies at El Centro and Mountain View colleges respectively.
Kevin has been fortunate in music. He has recorded with former A&M Records artists “The Wooten Brothers”, blues legend and Verve recording artist “Lucky Peterson”, and former Arts Magnet classmate and Motown/Universal recording artist “Erykah Badu”. He is credited in court documents for writing the popular single “Here Comes The Hammer” recorded by M.C. Hammer which earned over $20 million dollars in sells.

Blessings & Testimonies

Being saved in 1987 and now living for the Lord, Kevin joined the Potter's House church under the leadership of Bishop T.D. Jakes. From August 1997 until June 2003, he served there in the Office of Deacon. He has also served as a worship leader in the homeless ministry of the church along with giving out food and clothing. He's served in both the evangelism ministry and Men’s Choir. He later was asked to be the youth choir director and youth minister of music at Loving Fellowship Christian Church in Duncanville, Texas. This choir was featured on WFAA Channel 8 as one of “Dallas’ Top Choirs”. He was also the lead psalmist in both the adult choir and praise team. Kevin still made time to write and record his own music. Through his This Rock Records label, he released two singles from his Cd called "Take Up Thy Bed And Walk" and “Who Can Compare To Our God?” Each song mirrors his own personal experience with doctors and how God is still a healer. The single release received an overwhelming response from Joyce Meyer, Marilyn Hickey, and Gloria Copeland (wife of televangelist Kenneth Copeland). He sang these two songs at Bishop T.D. Jakes “Man Talk” conference which was broadcast over satellite and the internet. Kevin believes that God wants him to spread His message of love, hope, healing, and salvation across America and the world. His THISROCKRECORDS.COM website has been ranked #2 in its category by the NBCi editors because of its popularity.
When asked about his ministry Christian simply says, "I know who God is and I know what He can do. I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for a healing from God."
