Save Me

Written By: Kevin Conaway

Walk with me tonight
Into the shadows, into the light
Talk with me tonight
I’ll confess my feelings, I’ll confess my fright

And I’ll let you in…
There’s no turning back… there’s no turning back…

She says: Save me, I don’t wanna be alone right now.
Save me, I need to heal but don’t know how
I don’t want to hurt anymore
Just help me save myself

Dance with me today
Into the fire, into the flame
Place your hand in mine
You’re the only one who can make this right

And I’ll let you in…
In my mind, there’s no place to hide

Scars

Written By: Kevin Conaway

By day she plays an angel
But a devil steals her dreams each night.
She feels a bit unstable
But when I ask she’ll say everything’s alright.
She can’t figure out what it’s all about.
She’s trapped in her head and can’t get out.
I try to find a way to brighten up her day.
She turns to me and she says:

“These scars go deeper than they seem
There’s more to me than what you see
These scars do deeper than they appear
I’ve got to find a way out of here.”

She’s everybody’s sweetheart
She’s the perfect girl we all dream about.
But her lie’s tearing her apart
She don’t know how to let her frustrations out.
She wears a mask, and she’s fading fast.
She’s getting buried in the past.
It cuts like a knife: her hatred for her life.
She turns to me and she says:

“These scars go deeper than they seem
There’s more to me than what you see
These scars go deeper than they appear
I’ve got to find a way out of here.

But I think I’m going to be okay
I’ve found a way to make the pain go away
I’ve found a friend that understands my needs”
So she opens up and confides in me…

Canadian Girl

Written By: Kevin Conaway

She makes me laugh. She makes me cry.
She makes me wonder just who the hell am I.
She makes me smile, when she says “eh.”
I think she’s hot, but I think she thinks I’m gay.

Well I don’t know what I’m doing. I don’t know if this is right.
All I know is that I hope that she’ll be mine tonight.

‘Cuz I’m in love with a Canadian girl.
She doesn’t know it but she gives me the world.
And when she speaks to me, she sets me free, I don’t think that she understands.
I’m in love with a Canadian girl.
She doesn’t know it but she gives me the world.
Just what she does to me, I’m on my knees, she’s got me in the palms of her hands.
Ohh, Canadian girl.

She builds me up, just to tear me down.
Still I smile every time she comes around.
She gets me high, she leaves me low.
She’s got me searching for apartments in Toronto.

And there she goes back to Ontario,
She left me stranded here in Ohio.
Still I can’t see what she’d see in me.
I’m not bi-lingual and I don’t have much loony.
She likes hockey and the Tragically Hip,
I like them too, but it’s a hell of a trip.
Oh why’d she have to leave me so far behind,
I feel like I’m aboot to die.

when she speaks so soft.
Hell I feel like I’m a nob who needs to take off! (to the Great White North!)

What Does It Take

Written By: Kevin Conaway

Dim the lights, another day has passed
Another chance evaporates so fast
She comes to me, her eyes are gleaming
Then I find I’m only dreaming
Dim the lights, another day has passed

She’s a mystery…

What does it take to make you fall in love with me
What does it take to make you feel what I believe
Why is it every time I end up in this fantasy world again
What does it take to make this real

It’s been so long, this feels so new to me
I’m lost in this uncharted territory
I try to speak, but lose the words
So many things she’s never heard
It’s been so long, nothing new to me

She’s a mystery… (She’s a) mystery

What does it take to make you fall in love with me
What does it take to make you feel what I believe
Why is it every time I end up in this fantasy world again
What does it take to make this real

And I wanna be your everything
I just wish you knew my name
I’m not expecting anything
But in the world I’m living in I know we feel the same

What does it take to make you fall in love with me
What does it take to make you feel what I believe
Why is it every time I end up in this fantasy world
What does it take to make you fall in love with me
What does it take to make you feel what I believe
Why is it every time I end up in this fantasy world again
What does it take to make this real

She’s a mystery… She’s a mystery

Paradise ('10)

Written By: Kevin Conaway

You know I can’t explain these feelings that surround me.
It always feels the same whenever you’re around me
You’re always on my mind.
And after all, we’re just two wanderers in the dark.
We’ll find our way guided by common stars.

Let me look into your eyes, ‘cuz this feels so right
Let me into your world, because I know it’s paradise.

And I’m lost within a dream, all I know is how I feel.
Nothing’s as it seems, but I know this is real
You’re always on my mind.
And after all, we’re just two ships on an open sea.
We’ll find our way back home, if you just believe in me.

Let me look into your eyes, ‘cuz this feels so right
Let me into your world, because I know it’s paradise.

Let me into your life, it’s where I want to be
Let me be what you need, you’re one and only.
Let me look into your eyes, ‘cuz this feels so right
Let me into your world, because I know it’s paradise.

I Used To Feel So Alone

Written By: Kevin Conaway

I used to feel so alone
I was always on my own
You came to me just like a dream
A variation on my theme, and now the loneliness is gone.

When I hold you close to me
I wanna stay eternally
And let this sink, sink in…

Here beneath the northern lights
Illuminating the whole night
Absent are all my afflictions
Past addictions, lost convictions, and now the loneliness is gone, yeah the loneliness is gone

When I hold you close to me
I wanna stay eternally
And let this sink, sink in…
When I’m here I can’t let go
I’m lost in you, I lose control
When you sink into me.

Every night would last so long
Every day just seemed so wrong.
Just before all hope was gone
The sun came out, broke through the clouds

I used to feel all alone…

When I hold you close to me
I wanna stay eternally
And let this sink, sink in…
When I’m here I can’t let go
I’m lost in you, I lose control
When you sink into me.
