BandRockAcoustic

Guitar instrumental music sitting somewhere between Mark Knopfler and Joe Satriani. From acoustic to "foot to the floor rock", with melody ever present.

Biography

Hank Marvin and 'Apache' completely floored me as a child, the sound was just amazing and so I desperately wanted to play guitar! After playing classical and then self taught on the electric I graduated to playing covers and original music in local bands. I set up my own home studio having heard 'Surfing With The Alien' which rekindled my interest in instrumental music and made me realise that it could still be valid and vibrant. Which brings me to today with a wider set of influences from Afro Celt Sound System and Kate Bush through to the old favourites like Deep Purple, and a new desire to get my music heard!

Texan Man a Stevie Ray Vaughn inspired boogie blues tune was selected for airplay on Bluzzradio in June 2007.

A vocal track 'Perfect World' got local radio play a few years back described as "a cross between Clannad and Eric Clapton". My first instrumental recordings got as favourable review in Home and Studio recording which were recorded on 6 track cassette.
