Kevin D Jimison

Introduction

Kevin D Jimison (Kevin Deshawn Jimison) is the C.E.O of Swagged Up & Saved Entertainment. He can be described as the jack of all trades because he is also a talent manager, booking agent, and Christian rapper. On top of that, he is a script writer, video director and actor. This multi talanted indivisual has performed live at the Conseco Field House, the Lucus Oil Stadium and the Madam CJ Walker Theater. In addition, he has performed at many churches and schools. So far in his career, Kevin D Jimison has worked with artists such as Waunie Boy, Mekellow and D-Ryder. As he move forward in his career, he will work with alot more artist.

Childhood

Kevin D Jimison was born in Indianapolis Indiana, at Methodist Hospital, on August 21, 1990. His parents’ names are Larry Jimison and Regina Gamill. Kevin grew up in a neighborhood called Brookside, on the Eastside of Indianapolis. As a child, he was very entertained by all genres of music, but hip hop and R&B was his favorites. In 1993, His mama bought him a karaoke machine on his third Christmas. That was his favorite childhood toy. He played with it every day. Some days he would sing and rap on it for hours at a time. His family said, at that moment they figured he’d grow up to be a singer or rapper. As he grew a little older, his Uncle Alfred and Aunty Stephanie would make him watch music videos with them. Kevin recalls watching the videos one of the best times he ever had. While most kids would be in their room playing with their toys, Kevin would be watching BET, MTV, or IMC, having the time of his life.

Teen Life

By the time Kevin turned 13, in 2003, he was writing his own songs. As a beginner, the songs he wrote weren’t very good, but they were his. At that time, music was just something he loved to make. So he formed a hip hop and R&B group named Nap Town Boys, (NTB) which included three other guys. They performed a song called “How I feel “at the Marrot hotel. Kevin loved that experience so much; he decided to make music his career. A few years later, he went to several libraries and checked out books about making music a career. He learned as much as he could about the industry, so he could have an advantage.

Adulthood

Kevin joined Eastern Star Church when he turned 18, in 2008. He got baptized into Christianity and started reading the Holy Bible, which resulted in him changing the path of his career”. From there on out, Kevin has been writing Christian songs. When he turned 20, in 2010 he started his own record label and named it Swagged Up & Saved Entertainment, which is a record label that is dedicated to making Christian music. Kevin started taking his music career seriously in 2011. He learned about all positions of the music industry and discovered he had a natural talent to succeed in all positions. So instead of hiring a talent manager, booking agent, A&R rep, etc... Kevin decided to take on all positions his self. Kevin D Jimison is currently on a quest to spread the word of God through media.
