Kevin Edwards

While you may have heard a lot of Gospel Music before, you might not be ready for Kevin's style and technique. Kevin Edwards is an anointed vessel of God, willing and ready to witness through song. He is a living testimony of his music. He loves God with all of his heart. He gives all of the glory to God, for allowing the promise to come to fruition.

He started singing Gospel Music at a tender age of eight in his hometown of Vernon, Florida at the Church of God by Faith Inc., where the Pastor is Elder Theodore Powell. He sang solos in the nearby cities. In 1990 he joined the West Florida Recording Choir under the direction of Patricia Edwards where he toured and ministered the Gospel in song for three years. While there, he was given the opportunity to sing on the Bobby Jones Gospel Showcase Taping.

He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 1994 and joined the Powerhouse of Deliverance COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Murphy J. Pace. He served in the Voices of Power as lead vocalist, and tenor for three years. While there, he had the opportunity to perform on stage at the Gospel Music Workshop of America singing duet with Pastor Murphy J. Pace, on the title cut of the CD "Didn't I Tell Ya" .
He also sang back up in the mass choir for La Shun Pace's third CD titled: "A Wealthy Place".

Kevin sang backup in the musical play "Fix Me Jesus" staring Dottie Peoples, James Bignon, and Rev. Dreyfus Smith in 2000.

Presently, He is a member of New Birth Cathedral under the leadership of the Anointed Bishop Eddie L. Long. He has been sent to this ministry to cultivate his Godly calling, and to be spiritually groomed by Bishop Long’s Prophetic Rhema Word.

Kevin, sang lead on Evan. Dorothy Norwood’s Live at Home DVD, on the song “Sacrifice of Praise” recording on November 12, 2001.

Kevin, released his first CD titled, “Lord, You Kept Your Promise” on November 10, 2001.

Kevin, was given the opportunity to travel to Kingston & Ocho Rios, Jamaica in 2001 & 2004 with Evan. Jackie McCullough- WordAlive on a Missions Outreach Trip. He was able to touch 5000 people’s lives with Food, Medical Care, and Spiritual Empowerment.

Kevin, had the opportunity to sing back-up on the Musical Soundtrack of the movie “The Fighting Temptations” starring Cuba Gooding Jr. & Beyonce’ Knowles on the song,
“Rain Down”.

Sang & acted in first Musical Comedy Play “ The Pastor’s Appreciation” at Oak Valley Opry, December 25, 2003.

Kevin Sang back-up for Michael Bolton at the 2005 Heroes Awards.

Kevin, has been inspired over the years by such great artist as, Shirley Caesar, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Fred Hammond, Walter Hawkins, Donnie McClurkin, Clark Sisters, Daryl Coley, LaShun Pace, Ce Ce Winans, and Beverly Crawford.

Evan. Jackie McCullough, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Bishop Eddie L. Long, Dr. Creflo Dollar, and Dr. Joyce Meyers have also influenced him spiritually.
