"NorthShore Folk Festival"

"Displaying the intricacies of Paul Simon's masterful guitar work, married with an American songwriting sensibility of Pete Seeger (and or a travlin' Woody Guthrie) - Kevin G Moore's interpretive singer/songwriter styling gives you a contemporary musical perspective at our nations song book.” - John Kane, NorthShore Folk Festival Founder, Salem, MA

"Acoustic Showcase Review - 2"

" ...Finally we heard from Showcase newcomer Kevin G. Moore. Kevin's new to us, but he's well known in the area, and he's an experienced and accomplished performer. Really nice songs - beautiful guitar work, affecting lyrics, and strong voice -- nothing but superlatives for this guy. We'll try to get him back as soon as we can." - Acoustic Showcase, Lexington, MA

"LynnHappens.com - Review"

First up was folk artist Kevin G. Moore. I thought I recognized a local reference here and there in his lyrics, but none more obvious than the song called "Downtown Crossing", an engaging but sad tale of the life of a homeless man. - LynnHappens.com, Lynn, MA

"Music in Melrose - Review"

"A Wakefield resident, Kevin made a big splash recently with a strong opening set at the Linden Tree Coffeehouse. He plays well-crafted original songs with a variety of guitar styles and his easy-going demeanor makes him a crowd favorite." - Music in Melrose, Melrose, MA

"Acoustic Showcase Review"

Kevin's an excellent singer/songwriter with a pleasant voice, satisfying guitar work (picking and strumming, open and conventional tuning), and a great song selection. His music is both quiet and strong - conveyed with feeling and conviction. We particularly enjoyed his original "That's My Child," and his moving rendition of "The Water Is Wide". Kevin's got a nice rapport with his audience - understated, quietly humorous - a nice counterpoint to his songs. Another great performer we'll keep inviting back." - Acoustic Showcase, Lexington, MA

"Catch Moore before he heads back east"

"...you must hear Kevin's beautiful songwriting talents and soothing sounds before he heads back east." - The Frontieersman, Wasilla, Alaska

"Kevin Moore at the Organic"

"I caught Kevin G. Moore's show at Organic Oasis on Friday night. With no opening act, Kevin played for two and a half hours with only a fifteen minute break. With just a man and his guitar, the show did not grow dull. I stayed, as did most for the whole evening which was complimented by the great food and ale.
Kevin's performance was refreshing. He poured his heart out on stage in a variety of different styles; smooth voice with melodic finger-picking to a belting voice with percussive flat-picking and strum.
Kevin will be leaving Alaska soon, so I highly recommend that you catch a show before he's 'gone missing'."

Bio

In 1987, at the age of 14, while wandering on evening
in his hometown of Wakefield, Massachusetts, Kevin heard music coming
from the basement of the Unitarian church.  He walked into what was
known as the Linden Tree Coffeehouse and quietly stood in the back of
the halls.  The acoustic folk music he heard that night changed the
direction of his life forever.

Kevin returned to the Linden Tree Coffeehouse time and
time again to perform songs that he had written at thier open mic.
After a year or so, he branched out and began performing at open mics
all around the Boston area.

By 1991, Kevin was performing as an opening act at
many of the folk coffeehouses in Boston, Cambridge and the surrounding
suburbs.  At that time, Kevin was also a menber of a grunge-rock band
called The Retreat which also performed frequently.

1995 found Kevin living in Harvard Square, Cambridge,
Massachusetts.  He spent each day busking on the streets and subways and
spent his evening performing at a wide variety of venues.

From 1997 - 2007, Kevin lived in Anchorage, Alaska.
He wrote many new songs and worked on developing his own unique style.
He self produced two full length CD's ( The basement folk LP &
Chapters )

In 2007, Kevin moved back to the Boston area.  After
meeting many new local singer/songwriters Kevin decided that he would
music full time.  Kevin currently performs regularly all over New
England and tours across country in the summers.

In 2013, Kevin was nominated by Bridging the Music as
Massachusetts Solo Artist of the Year.  Kevin is also nominated at 2014
Singer Songwriter of the Year by Limelight Magazine.
