BandAlternativeRock

Kevin is an artist who focuses mainly on the subject of relationships in his songs which easily finds a way of identifying with most listeners. That is because he writes and sings about something anyone can understand. The need to be loved and accepted and the fear of being alone.

Biography

A native of Royal Oak, MI, Kevin has been playing guitar and trying his hand at songwriting for almost ten years. Compared to artists including John Lennon, Billy Corgan and Michael Stipes, Kevin manages to draw these comparisons and yet still create his own sound and message throughout his songs. Lyrics

My Best Days

Written By: Kevin Kennedy

Verse

I do not want to,
Ever hurt you,
Unfortunately, I,
Did it anyway,
And I am sorry,

Chorus

Autumn leaves, mark end of summer,
Nights that we both, spent together,
Driving ‘round in your car, going nowhere fast,

Verse

You cannot forgive,
I cannot live,
Knowing what I’ve done to,
Push you far away,
I’m so sorry,

Chorus

Autumn leaves, mark end of summer,
Nights that we both, spent together,
Driving ‘round in your car, going nowhere fast,
How I’ve come, to hate October,
Telling me, those days are over,
I do not want these moments, to become the past,

Bridge

The past,
Become the, past,

Chorus [Repeats same as above 2x but with background vocals during the last half of final Chorus singing:]

You brought forth from me, all that’s good,
[Autumn leaves mark end of summer,]
And for that time, I understood,
[Nights that we both spent together,]
Life and all its ways,
[Going separate ways,]
And that’s what made those, my best-,
Days,
[My best, days,]
My best days,
My best days,
My best days.

Drown

Written By: Kevin Kennedy

Verse

How long, will I, wait for you,
Longer, than I know, I should,
Will I, grow to, hate you,
When I’m, left with nothing,

Chorus

For now I am a ripple, but soon I’ll be a wave,
And you’ll be looking back in awe at all I took and gave, for you,
You will see it someday, ‘cause you sure don’t see it now,
I don’t see how you could,
I don’t see how you could,

Verse

I badly, want your eyes,
To be, focused on, my face,
I’m more, than a, shoulder,
To cry on, and take up space,

Chorus

For now I am a ripple, but soon I’ll be a wave,
And you’ll be looking back in awe at all I took and gave, for you,
You will see it someday, ‘cause you sure don’t see it now,
I don’t see how you could, when you’re just a piece of wood,
Drifting from the wreckage, floating in the ocean that is me,
Oh, baby, can’t you see, that,
I am the one who’s, holding you up but,
Everyday I try not to, be the one who pulls you in,
Who pulls you down, who pulls you under, and makes you drown,

Bridge

Chorus

[Repeats same as above until “drown” at end which then repeats as “I won’t make you drown” on top of:]
In all my troubled waters, that this typhoon has caused,
And breathing isn’t easy, when all the things you’ve lost,
Become weights in your lungs, your insides are heavy,
And other people’s wicked, tongues harden your heart,
I won’t make you drown,

Outro

For now I am a ripple, but soon I’ll be a wave.

You and Me

Written By: Kevin Kennedy

Verse

I am feeling better knowing,
I don’t ever have to hear your,
Voice again, unless a pop star you become and even then,
All I have to do to mute you, is turn a knob or push a small,
Button, to shut you up and tune you out, you can’t reach me with shout,

Chorus

You and me, were going nowhere, [x4]

Verse

I am feeling better now that,
I don’t ever have to see your,
Face again, unless an actress you become and even then,
All I need do to ignore you, is never buy a ticket to your,
Shows, or rent your videos, the tabloid stories I won’t know,

Chorus

You and me, were going nowhere, [x4]

Bridge

Verse

How did we get so obscene, our hearts and words used to be clean,
But now our consonants and vowels,

Chorus

Scream,
You and me, were going nowhere. [Repeats until end]
