Kevin Lee Edwards

In the early 2000s, artist/songwriter I started writing and recording tracks that would become my first digitally released album entitled, “Inner Thoughts Volume 1” released on iTunes 2 February 2007. I am a native of Chicago Illinois, he has been involved in music from an adolescent playing percussion in his Jr. High School band and later playing trombone is his high school band. Inner Thought was released on my own independent label KLE Music through ASCAP’s Nimbit music site. The entire project was recording using Cakewalk software Sonar 5, Home Studio Sonar 6; and edited with Adobe Audition 1.5 and 2.0. Korg Triton Le, Micro Korg, Korg M1, and Roland 2020XV are the principle instruments used on all of my projects. Music XPC professional computer is another tool in my arsenal ran through a Yamaha MW 12 to complete a sufficient home studio. I performed and composed all original music on my projects. I am a member of the National Academy of Recording Art & Science (NARAS) GrammyU and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and & Publishers (ASCAP) programs. I was awarded the track of the day on 20 June 2007 for his song “Dance with You” on garageband.com. On 3 July 2007, I released my 2nd digital album entitled, “I am All about My Music”. As an adult I have taught my self to play the keyboard; I also mastered the art of creating music through the use of MIDI equipment and computers. I’ve been writing and recording since 1996. I have recorded several demos and I finally finished my first disk in 2006. I don’t want to be categorized because my music taste has grown immensely throughout my life. So you can hear influences from all kind of music. I have been influence by Hip-Hop, Rock, and Pop, R&B, Trip-Hop (namely Tricky and Massive Attack), Electronic and Alternative music throughout my life. I feel my music defies genre and I like it that way. Every time I tried to copy another artist style I would create something unique and personal. I am proud of my music and I hope people can enjoy my music.
