Bio
In the late 1990s, Kev Lymn left his native Australia for Europe. While living in a small village in Ireland he became acquainted with Celtic music and the Irish story telling tradition which he has combined with his love for the blues. After hitch hiking across Europe, he arrived in Berlin in the autumn of 1999 and began collaborating with various Berlin based musicians. Musical tours out of Germany, across Europe and the U.S.A soon followed. His song writing reflects the experiences gathered during these journeys. Songs penned from an outsiders perspective on different countries and cultures. His lyrics are full of intelligent observation and have a distinctive thought provoking mythical quality. His guitar playing is characterized by a percussive rhythmic style. It incorporates unorthodox use of slide and Irish folk tunings on dobro and 12 string guitar creating unusually full chord voicings that resonate through his songs.
