Kevin Stanke grew up in the country side of the infamous college town of Northfield, Minnesota. Often detached from civilization in his family's quaint country home he wrote numerous thoughts and prose daily. Looking for an outlet for his ramblings he decided to look into making them into songs by learning guitar from a St. Olaf music school graduate.
After honing his songwriting style in college he hit the road playing clubs and shops that would have him. Kevin Stanke has played as far away as London, Denver, and St Louis as well as legendary local Minneapolis venues The Cabooze and 400 Bar.
