Biography


In nearly three decades as a professional musician, keyboardist Kevin Wilder has shown that music is truly a universal language. In Wilder’s unique musical world, jazz, pop, soul and funk combine in unexpected and refreshing ways. The Cincinnati native has logged time with renowned legacy outfits like the Duke Ellington, Woody Herman and Ray Charles bands, and has shared the stage with artists like Oleta Adams. Monty Alexander, David Sanborn, Patti Austin, Roy Ayers and Slide Hampton. Equaly formidable as a sideman and frontman, Wilder’s multi-stylistic fluency has made him a first-call keyboardist for local artists like percussionist Gumbi Ortiz, Fred Thompson, Theo Valentin and has taken him to venues in Italy, Singapore, Japan and Egypt.
