Bio

Much of what is good in the world stands apart from the flow of trends. Enter KEVORKIAN.

Blending “grooves and crushing buildups” with an off-kilter melodic sensibility and liquid song structure, KEVORKIAN has created a sound unique to Metal.

Originally formed in Boston, Massachusetts, KEVORKIAN now hails from New York City where, in 2003, they released their first full length CD “Immortality in Culture” (which has since been described by Metal Maniacs magazine as “one hell of a 10-hole steel toe to the solar plexus..”) and began sharing the stage with such respected underground metal acts as Immolation, Dying Fetus, Goatwhore and Enslaved.

Currently KEVORKIAN has released a 3 song demo of new material that brings new depth and dimension to their sound and carries their vision on to the next level.

With their unique combination of experimental song-craft and skull crushing brutality, KEVORKIAN is destined to redefine the sound of metal in the future.

For two years straight, purerockfury.com (WBCN, Boston’s Deek ) ranked KEVORKIAN’S “Immortality in Culture” within their top ten list of best CDs of the year.

The track “In the Name of the Father” can be heard on Lifeless Records’ "A Treasury of Sorrows” a 2004 Compilation, hand picked by Matthew Blanchard of Shadows Fall and is also in rotation on Seton Hall University’s legendary pirate radio station 89.5 WSOU.

In October 2004 Sky Records tapped two KEVORKIAN tracks to appear on "From The Shadows: Metal for the Modern Era" a compilation featuring such metal heavyweights as Anthrax, Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan and Strapping Young Lad.
