“Dependable Strength Report”
The Key Element project took to the studio in the fall of 2005. During this time Key Element has Recorded a 17 track album and a music Video for the Songs “Underground, Hustle and Grind and “Taste like Tang.” With another Video for the Song “Last Call” which has become a club favorite.”
In the process of it all Key Element has performed by request with some of the top groups ranging from Numskull of the Loonies, Devin the Dude, Legendary Too Short , Fat Joe, the halftime show for the Harlem Globetrotters (which is a family show), the Soul Festival where they opened for Raz B of B2K, Rocker Mickey Avalon, Peety Pablo, and Michael Jacksons B-day Party in Las Vegas to name a few. Key Element was requested and hosted the family oriented 3 on 3 Def Jam NBA Hoop it up Basketball Tournament. Again this was a family show.
Key Element has a professional and clean Image that has created a good following with the kids . They also have a club, street side that makes them very unique. This is who they are the four Elements. You will here on any given track the elements of Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock with a bit of Country to make up one sound “Addictive Music” and this sound fits in at any venue.
Producer/Director of the project Tony Summers along with TC Cannon and associates under their Company Direct Supply Entertainment has teamed up with Leo Rogers of Catalog License/Bungalo/Universal to help Promote and Market this project.
Since the union Key Element has gained distribution interest and has continued to polish up the project. Growing in airplay locally in the NW you can find them with there hit song “Taste Like Tang” on the NW Hitz Compilation through MAR RECORDS which includes the likes of “E-Dawg”, Platinum Producer R&B Great “Kevin Gardner,” “Neema”, “Mark Anthony” and more. They are also circulating in Midwest Chicago, Indiana areas…on underground mix show and the local video shows along with radio play.
Key Element was included on Urban Network compilation # 18 for the year 2007 which included the likes of “Mya, Lil Wayne, Cupid, Carl Thomas, LeMarvin, Swiss Beats and many others. Key Element received such great reviews from this they were picked to be on the very special 20th Anniversary Edition (2008) newly released “Urban Network” compilation with their song “Last Call”!!. This has brought a lot of attention to the project and has increase the groups visibility.
Key Element also has a EP out under Direct Supply Records entitle “Underground” which includes (6) tracks which is available through cd baby and snocap @ myspace.com/directsupplyrecords. As they move forward with finishing the album we plan on releasing “On the Rize” by the end years end. We appreciate all the support and any help along the way will be greatly appreciated. KEY ELEMENT! Made of four individual entities named: “T-Yo”,“ Rook” AJS “The Mid-West Playa” & “E-Boog”...
Having met by chance, it was inevitable that Key Element would come to be.. Promoter, Ken Roy of SeaTown Pro., had always been aware of Billboard Chart Topper, Tonyo 'the hustla' (With his hit P.H.D. ‘playa hata degree’), from working with big names like George Clinton, Celly Cel, Thug Life, Dolemite, D-shot of the Clicke, and more, when he came across “Rook” an undiscovered voice, now known to be “Mr.Cool the Pimp"from Chi-Town”, he knew immediately that the two must meet! From that introduction alone, followed the union of “E-Boog” the grinder (a long time friend of Rook), & “AJS” the player(The cousin of T-Yo).This created a sound that has been quoted as, “off the chain”! A fusion of hot tracks, great hooks, outstanding “live performers” with mad energy, creates this street, radio, and club sound.
Drawing the attention of many, including The legendary Too Short saying‘This here sound is hot” Key Element is inspired by the likes of Short, R-Kelly, Kanye West, Luda, Outkast and many other artists they hold in great respect. Music is their life! Embracing Hip R&B and Funk Fundamentals, Spoken Word and Rap, this group has what it takes to go mainstream!
