Whoever said “Looks Can Be Deceiving” must have encountered Rap’s newest sensation, Khadijah. Born Khadijah Johnson in Cincinnati, Ohio this 5’9’’ beauty looks more like a model or singer than a gritty hip hop artist. Although she has been honing her skills as an MC since she was 12 years old she did not actively began pursuing a career in music until a year ago. In this short time she has quickly created a buzz and has become the premier female rap artist in Cincinnati. As a result of her dedication and work ethic she is quickly gaining notoriety in other parts of the Midwest.

Some of Khadijah’s musical influences are 2Pac, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Nas, Scarface, and the late B-Chubb (who she deems the greatest rapper ever). Khadijah creates her own lyrics but unlike most of her counterparts she keeps them all memorized in her head and does not write them down. This skill prompted critically acclaimed producer Hi-Tek to take interest in Khadijah and feature her on “Gone Bang” a song he produced. He decided to work with Khadijah who he calls the female Jay-Z after witnessing her create a verse without a pen or pad. Committed to not only pursuing her rap career Khadijah is also an entrepreneur and has her own entertainment company, Hustle Honey Entertainment. She lives by the motto "If you don't grind you don't eat” and she is certainly on her grind. Under her company she is assisting other artist with developing their respective talents and once a month hosts her own music showcase called “Hustle Hard Fridays”. She uses this showcase as a vehicle to help local artists in promoting their music and showcasing their skills through performances.

Khadijah is currently on tour and has been taking a grassroots approach to building her fan base and expanding in other markets. Among her many accomplishments, Khadijah did the intro for DJ Diamond’s (101.1 WIZF-Radio One) radio mix show and has had 3 songs in rotation on the radio. Her hit single “I’m A Boss” is not only being played in Cincinnati but is also gaining momentum in other parts of the Midwest. Khadijah is known for not only being a great MC but also an incredible performer. She has opened for mainstream artists such as Young Buck, Fabolous, Juvenile, Bun B, and Rick Ross. She has been mentioned in several magazines including Ozone Magazine and was featured in Around the Town Magazine. Her latest mixtape “Murder She Wrote” is currently one of the hottest mixtapes in the streets and has helped Khadijah solidify her spot as one of the most talented and diverse female MC’s to ever enter the game! With production from Kill Will, Sparkz, and Big Dan she has released a mixtape that not only showcases her lyrical prowess but also her ability to create great songs. She credits Dj Drizzle who recorded and mixed the songs on “Murder She Wrote” for being influential in helping her release a classic mixtape. This young woman is definitely breezing past the competition and is quickly making her way to the top. Make sure you pay attention because if you blink you just may miss something!
