At just 20-years old, the fiesty outspoken Ms. Khalia Simone plans on taking the world by storm. This BMI songwriter and Interscope Distribution Artist wants to show the world everything she’s got. Raised in Houston, Texas by an American mother and a Brazilian Nigerian father. Living in two separate cultures gave her the best of both worlds. She is able to diversify herself and her music. Similar to other artists, Khalia has been singing since she was a small child. Drawing her inspiration from artists like Sade, Fionna Apple, Santanta, Al Green and many more, Simone displays an old soul with a new school attitude. “I am proud of my roots. Khalia no stranger to the music industry, she has worked with many artists behind the scenes. Now it is her turn to shine! With already two hot singles, “Gimme That” and ” I Get It In” feat Houston’s own Mike Ro and Ami Miller, she is well on her way to becoming a star. In Spring of 2012, Simone will be releasing a mixtape called “The Calling” which draws inspiration from one of her favorite artists Pharrell. It will focus on everything Khalia!
