Debut Album
THIS YEAR | From The City of Nahor Project (2005)

Feeling a bit camera shy

After becoming a member of the multi-Grammy Award winning group TAKE 6 in the summer of 2004, Khristian continues to see the Lord at work in his life from his recent Christian Television Network (CTN) appearance, to providing concert support for Martha Munizzi, to the tremendous response from radio stations playing his debut project. "This project is straight up Urban with a touch of Adult Contemporary and Pop," says the young singer/songwriter/producer. He was blessed to assemble an all star cast of singers and musicians in the completion of this album. Notable appearances include a first class list of some of Gospel and CCM music's renowned musicians including David Cleveland, Noel Hall, Cedric Dent, Marvin McQuitty, Steve Brewster and David Huntsinger. Producer and songwriter Rohan Harrison along with mix engineers Marcelo Pennell, Will Russell, and Mills Logan contributed the final touches on this top flight project.

"Every song on this album was written to impact and ultimately change lives for the Kingdom of God. They are directed to everyone from unsaved teens, to new disciples in need of a simple word of encouragement, to adults who may not be living a life totally sold out for Christ." With songs like Savior, Message, and the head banging urban track Doing for Me, the project addresses issues prevalent among everyday believers. "They speak of our struggles to be more like Christ and the power of His Grace that brings us back to Him whenever we fail." With his debut project, Khristian has chosen to herald a bold statement, declaring that "it's about the music and the message! A message of hope in God, full of the love of God, His grace, and His great favor!" Khristian intends to impact lives for Christ, THIS YEAR!

"Looking back I can see that I was called to minister God's message through music," says the South Carolina native Khristian, born Christian Dentley whose family moved to Ft. Lauderdale from Atlanta in 1999. At the early age of 7, his father, Pastor Kenneth Dentley laid hands on him and prayed that the spirit of David would rest on him. He blessed Khristian and declared that the spirit of the Lord would be upon him as he worshiped the Lord on the piano. That year for Christmas, Khristian was given his first keyboard, which he destroyed within a matter of months. A few years later his father and mother bought him another keyboard, by which time he had grown to appreciate the piano as a tool for worshiping God. That year Khristian began playing the keyboard alongside his father in church.

Khristian honed his musical skills in the church 'depending on his ear,' as he was not formally trained. When he moved to Florida, his decision to join his high school rock band instead of the marching band helped to set the stage for his current musical appetite and appreciation for many genres and different styles of music. Khristian and his lovely wife Jody still live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida till this day.
