"UK Urban Scene"

“The UK urban music scene often forget their roots of where they came from or how their music sounded when they first started out. DBR ENTERTAINMENT’S co-partner and first signee KI-FARO, definitely shows he knows where his roots are. The UK rapper has currently released his debut single ‘Made In The Mana’ which marks his birth into the urban music scene. Do not be so quick to do what most people tend to do with new up coming artists and turn a blind eye to something new. Ki-Faro also know as Michael Thompson, is a promising figure who has the ability to make “Dreams Become Reality”.” - K Dot

"Ki Faro: Rock Til She Drop"

“UK's uprising Rapper/Songwriter Ki Faro has established himself as the rapper to watch on the indie scene. His latest single 'Rock Til She Drop' was followed by yet another killer music video which now has filmmakers feeling the heat . A statement from Faro's camp said 'We are proud of our clients ability to come up with ideas and storylines for his music videos which bring more of a meaning to the music rather than just people dancing through out an entire music video'. Rock Til She Drop features both Ki and Xorael , It was directed by Elmino Da Great” - mmontel

"SoundSynergy Loves: Ki Faro"

“At the moment we are loving Ki Faro, UK lyricist and self confessed "...middle man between the elite and the forgotten". Michael Ki-Faro Thompson is pretty special in our eyes. Not your average run of the mill rapper. We would say that he is an intellectual lyricist, young business man, and definitely one to watch in 2014 and beyond. In 2014 Ki Faro is quietly making his dreams a reality, with the creation of his multimedia company "Faro Empire." He is also putting the finishing touches on his album, and getting ready to take the UK music scene by storm. From where we are standing, Ki Faro has got what it takes to make it big. His intelligent lyrics, professional, slick, effortless style, and his entrepreneurial spirit will definitely catapult him into stardom in this very competitive business.” - laura white

"We Heart UK Lyricist Ki Faro"

“We haven't done a 'We Heart' feature in a while. So, without further ado let's get all loved up! The talent we are focusing on today is a young man who goes by the name of Ki Faro. His press pack came across my desk a couple of months ago but I didn't get the chance to really dig deep. This morning I sat in a West London cafe and got to work, watching music videos and listening to tracks on Soundcloud. All I have to say is woah! instant hit with me, and everyone else at We Heart Hip Hop. Ki Faro has that slickness that is necessary for super stardom. He likes to think of himself as the .."middle man between the elite and the forgotten." The North London lyricist started writing poetry at the age of 13. Influenced by artists like 2Pac, Bob Marley and Dizzee Rascal. Ki Faro has got what it takes (we think anyway) to make it big. His intelligent flow, and confidence on the mic are definitely attributes that could give him the recognition that he deserves.” - Miss Hip-Hop

"Road To Success VOL 3 - Review"

“North London artist Ki Faro returned this month with the latest instalment to his Road To Success series, Memoirs from a Repertoire. From the opening track, a remix of Kanye West’s Power that features rapid flows from Ki, to his own version of Drake’s Pound Cake, on which he delivers slow sauntering yet thought-provoking lyricism, yet still packed with clever wordplay. Ki also concocts up tracks like Surulere featuring Dr Sid, a afro pop track, a few heavy trap bangers with remixes of Rick Ross’ Devil Is A Lie, OT Genesis’ Co Co, and a remix of Fetty Wap’s Trap Queen. Also, Ki takes on a couple of Grime-come-Trap beats with German Whip and Sitting Here, and an actual tribute to Grime, a track that features a hook on which Ki spits Skepta’s Shutdown, as well as referencing Boy In Da Corner. As well as delivering fun and entertaining lyrics, Ki takes time out to to speak on Black History and such on tracks like Doing Ok and King Kunta.” - Death Kiss Media

"ROAD TO SUCCESS - Music Review"

“North London rapper Ki Faro upholds true integrity in his artistry. He hits it hard once again with his latest release Road To Success, Memoirs From A Repertoire. The project takes us on a nostalgic journey with featured samples from Kanye West, Skepta, Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky among many others, bringing a raw London-styled twist to each track. Ki delivers a diverse mix of talent. From documenting themes of homelessness, Black History, and an ode to grime to a light-hearted cheekiness equipped with clever wordplay and on point rhyming schemes, Ki Faro goes beyond the expectations of a rap genius.” - Ayla Dhyani

"Guardian - singer who recorded music video in Paris dedicates track to terror victims"

“A SINGER from Chingford who recorded a music video in Paris just days before the terror attack by ISIS has dedicated his song to the victims. Songwriter, singer and producer Ki Faro filmed a ‘selfie video’ for his track Désolé around Parisian landmarks, last week. But just hours after the recording was complete terrorists killed 132 innocent people enjoying music concerts, dinner and drinks with friends. Shocked and saddened by the news, the Chingford artist, 27, decided to release the video early and dedicate it to the victims. Ki said: “I was completely unaware until I posted on Instagram and then my page just went crazy, everybody was asking me how I was. That’s how I found out. “It actually felt quite tense when we were recording. The guys saw some armed police running around, but we didn’t know if that was usual for the city. “I called my friend who lives where it happened. She was so shaken up, she didn’t even want to talk about it at first.” ..... - Zoie O'Brien

Bio

Definitely one to watch - MTV

Intelligent lyrics, effortless style - SoundSynergy

North London rapper Ki Faro burst onto the scene in 2012 with the Urban anthem ' Made in the Mana; an underground homage to the positivity and creativity which his often maligned environment can spawn ‘There are so many negative implications about being from the manor, I just wanted to show different side to it.’ Within months the tracks underground success saw it gain airplay on MTV, Kiss, Itch FM and Reprezent to name but a few.

Since then Ki has been back in the studio and a slew of mixtapes, freestyles and unique video concepts have established him as one of the hardest workers and most original voices on the in the industry. The culmination of which is 'Rise of an Empire' an 8 track Mini LP which has been hailed as his most accomplished work to date it sees him working with the likes of Raf Riley (who works with Diplo, Plan B and Prof Green) as well as the underground artists he came up with to combine the authentic voice that stays true to his roots with more varied and engaging beats to get both heads banging and clubs jumping!
