A fusion of today's most popular styles of music,
Kicked Off Edison blends modern pop-rock with passionate lyrics using influences from hip hop, techno, acoustic jam bands and hard rock. This eclectic group formed in October 2005, each bringing their own expertise to challenge the
sound of music today. Their rich harmonies and catchysounds are going to quickly take the country by storm.
Within the first year as a band, Kicked Off Edison gained a vast recognition and an online fan base nationwide. In June 2006 they were featured on the Windy City Records Hostage Radio Summer Compilation.
The three members met at North Central College in
Naperville, IL where their musical studies helped to develop this progressive sound. Tom Santoyo (co-lead vocals and electric guitar) started the group in his house with Carl Burke (Hedphonz - programming and bass) as a jam band. They later added the talents of Jamie Erlenbaugh (co-lead
vocals and acoustic guitar).
After several months of perfecting their abilities, a sound ordinance was put up against the band and thus...Kicked Off Edison was born.
