KiDD Menace

Jamal Mamaril born June 30th, 1989 in Toronto Ontario of Kathy (Philippines) and Mohamed (Jamaica) Menace has a very unique mix and diversity that adds strength to his music. A true Scarborough native and no stranger to Toronto hip hop scene and culture; Jamal thrived on the streets where he acquired the crucial survival tactics he would employ his whole life. Those tactics would come into play when Jamal was forced to move to Jamaica with his mother Kathy for a 4 year stint. Being a gifted child he was given a scholarship to attend Manning’s H.S in Savlamar Westmoreland .He has survived and experienced countless joyful moments, heartbreaks, hardships and near death experiences in his short life in his home town Toronto and abroad in his fathers birthplace that has added strength maturity and a mental toughness to his foundation. As tough as these struggles were, Menace reflects and sees this as a positive in his life where he was in touch with his roots and gained vital personal characteristics.
At the Age of fourteen through a close friend and group member , Jamal was taught how to express himself musically, first by freestyle before picking up the pen on his own. He spent 4 years mastering his craft before venturing to the booth over the past 4 years. Music is his release mechanism to which he uses to express himself as well as a tool to connect with the masses. He brings a combination of whit, swag and content wrapped up with energy that comes effortlessly to make for a sound that’s unique and appealing to a range of listeners. Currently Kidd Menace is completing his inaugural indie album (By Myself) to be released late 2012.
