Polyphony was a band directly influenced from the likes of Mahavishnu Orchestra and Smashing Pumpkins, bring ing a jazz rock sound to something more attainable. From there, Kidd's Creek was created as an attempt to bring honesty to life in our music.
Kidd's Creek is heavily influenced by a number of folk rock artists including Ryan Adams and Doug Martsch. Beyond the mellow lies influences from experimental shapeshifters such as Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and even Flaming Lips.
What seperates Kidd's Creek from other acts? The two founders came from different places and meshed together everything they love about music. Whether its a tearing guitar solo, or a perfectly haunting harmony, this two piece band is fuller than most elaborate orchestrated rock groups. With lyrics that will touch you, for they touched us, Kidd's Creek is soft when it has to be and harsh when it wants to be.
