An ambitious go-getter, this young buck has been producing and writing since 14 years old, eager to get his hands dirty and make his mark on the NY scene. Infatuated with beats and rhymes, NOVA got his start experimenting and fashioning beats on Fruity Loops, Logic Pro, eventually moving on to whatever software he could get his hands on. After years of honing his craft, Cheeks has shaped his tracks to reflect his bombastic nature and electric creativity. In a word, these beats are epic recalling Cheeks' influences, progenitors like Timbaland, the Neputunes, Kanye West, and Pete Rock. NOVA noted, "They were innovators of their craft creating their own unique sound. They made the music theirs; you couldn't listen to a new song without immediately recognizing Yeezy or Pharell's influence. That's what I aim to achieve." And like West or Williams, the kid can spit, weaving wordplay with a laid back flow.
