"Chambers of Light"

French musician kikiilimikilii starts 2011 right where 2010 left off, with another great release, Lumens on Heia Sun. Last year was the noisy Ock Stak (Amduscias Records), Fausta (A.M.P.) filled with fragments of field recordings, and Le Souffle du Pneu, also on A.M.P. Filled strange noises, ethereal voices and beats, Lumens feels as if it owes more the rock than it does electronica. It definitely reminded me of one of my favorite albums of last year, Factory Kids’s get gone (Noecho) [review]. Could this be one of my favorite albums of the year? Possibly. I do know that I will probably play Lumens much more than Radiohead’s The Kings of Limbs. kikiilimikilii will also be embarking on a tour of North America this March. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to make the Philadelphia show. You can either buy this for $10 or download for free from mediafire. - Acts of Silence

"Fausta"

Interview

En sortie de résidence, kikiilimikilii réalise "Fausta" une compilation de 20 vignettes sonores de 35 secondes, enregistrées in situ et sortit sur amp records.

"Vuh"

The oddly named Kikiilimikilii (no, I don’t know how to pronounce that) is some rather enigmatic project from Paris, apparently part of the no less odd and mysterious Collectif Tralala and releasing on the Heia Sun imprint which also seems to belong to that whole mishpocha. Whatsoever, Kikiilimikilii’s hushed blend of noisy psychedelia and trance leaning rhythm patterns kinda grabbed my attention, and I suspect any further words might actually be futile after all anyway. So close your eyes and sink into Vuh before you head over here to get the order details for Lumens, the project’s debut full-length. - No Fear of Pop

"Le Souffle du Pneu"

"That said one thing I’ ll remember for sure is definitely the sound. [ Le Souffle du Pneu ] is one of the most darkest abstract noise project. A sound you will remember." - The Sirens Sound
