Kill Cheerleader "All Hail"........... Kill Cheerleader are rock n' rolling machine gun generals ready to blow your fucking mind with raw, heavy, curb-stomping party anthems that owe as much to The Ramones, Guns N' Roses, Thin Lizzy, and The Dwarves as they do to Motley Crue, Slayer, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. Pure evil sleaze, these guys. - By JEFF WARREN

Kill Cheerleader "All Hail"
by Bill Adams
Kill Cheerleader embrace the trappings and sound of the more dangerous end of hair metal in the 80’s; power ballads, tattoos, long hair, wearing black leather in the hottest weather (you can’t imagine the smell) and the guitar heroics of bands like Motley Crue and Guns N’ Roses. The band’s debut, All Hail, ignores the conventional rules of both good taste and hygiene as it emanates a slimy amalgam of gutter punk and cock rock that throbs with animal lust and guaranteed to put a fire in your loins (though that might also be the clap). The band cuts a bloody swath through pop music All Hail and shatters decibel levels as the guitars supplied by Chad Mackinnon and Useless scream into oblivion on tunes including “Bad Habit” and “So Young”. If they survive their own image, Kill Cheerleader may end up being the final match that ignites a cock rock renaissance on the gasoline poured by bands including Living Things and My Chemical Romance. May God have mercy on us all. (Spinerazor) - www.pulseniagara.com/spins.php

All Hail

After having damaged, destroyed, defaced and practically defecated on stages from Southern Ontario to Southern California, Toronto's scuzzy glam rockers Kill Cheerleader finally capture their high voltage sound in a convenient digital package ready for mass consumption in the safety of your own home. The quartet are one of the many bands trying to recapture the dangerous glory days of early '80s club hard rock/metal when bands like Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses were considered cool and even cutting edge. But KC are one of the few that get it right. Without any hint of irony, they do their thing oblivious to and uninterested in what other people may say or think about them. It's that sincerity that makes them so worthwhile. The dozen tracks on All Hail are all based around pretty rudimentary riff rock/metal trappings, but the ferocity of the performances and the in-your-face production makes them worth paying attention to. Of course, there are breaks in the ruthlessness in the form of 'Go Away', a power ballad of 'Home Sweet Home' proportions and the acoustic 'No Lullabies' that recalls Guns N' Roses' 'Patience'. Not the most original knife in the drawer, but definitely one of the sharpest. - By Stuart Green

"NO ONE HERE IS ASKING"

Kill Cheerleader

1) They're from Canada
2) They have Lemmy from Motorhead talking about them in Playboy and Suicide Girls
3) They will rip your fucking face off with songs that remind you of why you loved early Guns N' Roses and Motley Crue, but not in the shitty way trendy ironic hipsters throw those two bands names around.

Yes, that's right...a band that actually is worthy of comparisons to both Guns N'Roses and Motley Crue. No, they're not just aping a sound that's been getting popular in the underground lately. Cause, you see, Kill Cheerleader have quietly been doing their thing since 1999. But you're gonna pretend you knew that, right?

So consider them a contemporary of both Turbonegro and Hellacopters who's finally getting their due.

While their first EP has already sold 7000 copies in their hometown, 2006 appears to be the year that Kill Cheerleader just may take over the world. They've surpassed the bloodletting, aggression, and expression of prior rocknroll bands with a songcraft previously unseen.

And no, this DOES NOT mean they've gotten soft. It just means that they now know how to kick you in the balls with intensity while leaving you with a song stuck in your head all at the same time.

And try and find the first pressing of the import only 2nd EP, Gutter Days, which House of Smut claims sits on the throne as Best Rock Vinyl Ever.

Bio

The attitude of 70's punk and the shredding guitars of 80s metal come together to form the sound of KILL CHEERLEADER. Influenced by Iggy & The Stooges, Iron Maiden, early Guns N' Roses, early Motley Crue, Joan Jett, Girlschool, Rambo 1 and 2, KILL CHEERLEADER have come together to play powerful and raw music like their heroes before them, without sounding like the past.
