Bio

Killebrew was born to a single mother, Ms. Emily Caldwell, in the small town of Moncure, N.C. Ms. Caldwell worked hard to support her family of two boys. For twenty-five years she worked diligently as an inspector in a factory and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She taught her boys the value of a dollar and that hard work would help one prosper in life. It was through his church family that he first encountered the love of music and rhythm by playing the drums at the young age of six. Though Killebrew's life was filled with love and proper guidance, he felt a since of unhappiness. This would later lead to a life full of obstacles that must be overcome in order to see his true fate in this world. Being without a father, Killebrew lacked the guidance of a male role model in his life. This would eventually lead to unnecessary trouble at a young age. Throughout his freshman and sophomore year he found himself suspended from school on many occasions. Eventually realizing the pain and disappointment that he was causing his mother, he transferred to a different high school in order to finish his high school education. While at Northwood High School, Killebrew realized his love for the spotlight as he excelled in the football program. Along with being noticed on the football field, Killebrew maintained his popularity on and off the field and loved every minute of his success. With his All Conference Player status and being named Offensive Back of the Year, many college scouts were attending games in search of their next star. With the anticipation of a college scholarship through the football program, Killebrew would quickly learn life does not always go your way. A massive shoulder injury placed Killebrew in surgery, shattered his scholarship dreams, and sidelined him for the rest of the season. Not only did Killebrew have to deal with his dreams disappearing he also learned that he was to become a father and his responsibility to his growing family needed priority in his life. He pressed on graduating from high school and furthered his education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he received certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Though it was a struggle, it was important to Killebrew to receive his education. This would not only give peace of mind to his mother, but would also set forth the foundation for his ambition to succeed. Filled with this ambition, Killebrew now started to put his primary focus into music. Missing the glare of the spotlight, he started by participating in local talents shows, freestyle competitions, and working with various musical instruments. Killebrew saw that he uncovered his true, heartfelt passion for life. Through his lyrics and unique style, Killebrew can now reveal his trials and tribulations. With his first CD "Ready to Ride", Killebrew collaborates with Q-Boyz production to present himself to the world. Currently Killebrew is working on his second album. In this album, Killebrew continues to discuss personal encounters for those for him and against him. In search of the right label, Killebrew continues to be in the studio. Friends, AOP, TO, and SNATCH helped in the production of the tracks as well as providing catchy hooks and background vocals. Soon, Killebrew will return to his place in the spotlight.
