Bio

“Authority”, this word alone can strike fear in some and empower others. For Mark Dismount, Brandon Morales, and twin brothers Martin and Matt Rubio, authority is fuel for their fire. These four young men from San Antonio, Texas make up the alternative rock group we know today as, Killer Dismount. Born of raw energy and a lust for anarchy, Killer Dismount and it’s members have always strived to tell a story of what rock and roll is all about. Going against the grain and just having fun. Their sound carries many labels, from punk to metal, celtic to folk, but these four young men truly love music and mixing emotions to stir up the flames in their audiences, giving everyone an "alternative" to the Top 40 we hear on our stereos.
In August of 2008, they scheduled a three day recording session, recording 10 tracks for their debut, and in 2010, Killer Dismount embarked on a new journey in their career having recorded their first full length album entitled “Stars and Strife: Endless Nights”, a product of the Bush administration and backlash of economic recession, Stars and Strife is a tale of young adulthood, angst, struggle, and the ability to be cynical and let loose to have fun.
With taboo songs like “Victim” and “New Assassin,” Killer Dismount takes jabs against political matters of the last decade that many have feared to tread upon. Following it with feel good tunes like “Picture You” and the pub goers Celtic themed “Ave. B”, a song written about The Lounge music bar, where the band first made their mark in San Antonio nearly a decade ago. Killer Dismount takes a real blue collar approach that many can relate to. Recorded and produced by Damien Rodriguez, Killer Dismount’s debut puts this band in great position for underground success. With albums being distributed through iTunes and other digital outlets, the guys are now focused on adding another chapter to their lives by playing in front of bigger audiences in more places.
