"Best Song"

But, I think I speak for everyone at Groovebox Studios when I say “Crazy Lover” was hands down the best song Killer Night Out had to offer. This song has tons of balls and its core, almost unhinged downbeat groove will make you want to head-bang your face off. - Groovebox Studios

Bio

Killer Night Out, formerly known as The Mea Culpa, is the brain child of brother and sister duo Charmrock and Mara. The sound produced by Killer Night Out has been compared to The Neon Trees, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, and Janis Joplin.
Charm Rock and Mara started out in a family band coached by their father, much like the jackson 5. The two had quareled constantly and went separate ways musicaly and geographicaly. Charm Rock was drawn to rock and roll. He ended up in the Southwest town of Ajo, Arizona where he spent time on a reservation. There, Charm taught himself to play guitar and sing to intense Native American beats and instrumentation. This rich musical experience took him to a place where most musicians do not know, or are welcome. Charm returned to Michigan with the creative spirit of a wild man genius, the way Jim Morrison was for the Doors.
Mara was constantly moving to different areas in Michigan. Lansing was her home for much of her childhood. There, She was classically trained in vocal techniques. Regularly participating in vocal competitions, such as state honors choirs, she was called the next Diana Ross by her conductors. Mara was thrust into the world at 17 where she thrived on independence and freedom. After putting herself through college, she began her professional life as K-12 music teacher.
Charmrock and Mara reunited when Charmrock moved back to Michigan from Los Angeles and needed a place to crash. While living together they recognized each others talent. They Played their first gig as a duo called the Culprits in a coffee house in Adrian, MI.
Without even knowing it, they had started something. What was a coincidental joining of two talented siblings, turned into a successful band with radio time and a large following. They added a drummer and off they went. n8, whose family immigrated from Syria, brings a flavorful medley of snare work and a passion for percussion that has put him into a league of his own.
However, they knew that their ever-evolving sound could not be made into the musical explosion listeners enjoy today without funky, hip, bass lines. That’s when they met J. He plays bass like a hungry yeti eats a thanks giving meal.
Killer Night Out has played from their home state of Michigan to California and shared the stage with acts like Marcy Playground, Cold and Taproot. The future holds more radio time and a debut album that will brake musical barriers and captivate the new generation.
