Break Me Down

Written By: Jason Wheelington

VERSE 1
Looking back just now
I’m seeing where it all went wrong
If I let you back inside you’d find that I’ve been moving on and on
From the aching life surrounding me
Keeping me from what I’d need
All those lies you fed to me
I thought I couldn’t live unless you breathed

CHORUS 1
Break me down, yeah ya loved to break me down
Break me down, ya couldn’t wait to break me, wait to break me

VERSE 2
Six feet underground
Yeah ya left me where I lay
I wasn’t lost, I wasn’t found I was just looking for another way
From the aching life surrounding me
Keeping me from what I’d need
All those lies you fed to me
I thought I couldn’t live unless you breathed

CHORUS 2
Break me down, yeah ya loved to break me down
Break me down, ya couldn’t wait to break me down
Break me down, how ya loved to break me down
Break me down, ya couldn’t wait to break me, wait to break me

Bridge
How ya loved to break me down, ya couldn’t wait to break me down

Breakdown
Something has changed as you leave
It’s a breath of fresh air that I breathe

Chorus Repeat

Promises

Written By: Wheelington, Maloy

Verse 1
It’s good to meet you, you’re exactly what I’ve waited for
I’ll get back to you, don’t think that I could love you anymore
No I swear that this is different from those times before
Least for today until you’re waiting for tomorrow
Yes you’re waiting for tomorrows

Chorus
Promises, promises
Why do I believe what you say?
Promises, promises
So many promises
And how many times will I wait?
Promises, promises

Verse 2
So where’d ya go, if I was just what you were looking for
I’ve heard this all, so many times and I’m not falling anymore
And don’t’cha call ‘cuz I’ve pulled myself up from the floor
And I’m here today, but I’m not waiting for tomorrow
I’m not waiting on tomorrows

Chorus Repeat

Breakdown
It’s good to meet you, you’re exactly what I’ve waited for
What’cha waiting for?

Chorus Repeat

Chorus Outro
Promises, promises
Promises, promises

Satellite

Written By: Wheelington

Verse 1
As you feel through this lonely life
You were trying just to find a way
Out of all that hurt inside
A little shelter from your everyday
Never seemed to see the light
Yeah life was more than you could take
Now just a distant satellite, spinning out in space

Pre-Chorus
Out there, somewhere
Drifting in this atmosphere
Somewhere, out there
Watching over, watching over

Chorus
My life, my satellite
You stayed so high, my satellite

Verse 2
And still I seem to all apart
When I see you in my dreams
Calling from an aging scar
To a place in me that no one sees
Now I find you’re never far
And the love you left can still be seen
And no one knows you’re at the heart
Of this pressure loss in me

Pre-Chorus Repeat

Meridian

Written By: Huver

Verse 1
If you touch I crumble
To pieces on the floor
You never looked so pretty
Just what I waited for

Chorus 1
You’re gonna tell me it’s over
I feel it coming and I don’t want to know
‘cause I’ll be committing suicide
and I’m getting closer

Verse 2
When you walk I’ll follow
It’s where you want to go
My revelation’s over
Everything’s movin’ slow

Chorus 2
You’re gonna tell me it’s over
I feel it coming and I don’t want to know
‘cause I’ll be committing suicide
and I’m getting closer, beautiful

Bridge
So far... away... away...
It’s the wrong way
Tear me apart
I don’t want to know
Don’t go away
Away, away

Outro
Don’t tell me it’s over
You’re gonna tell me it’s over
You’re gonna tell me it’s over
You’re gonna tell me it’s over

Wake Up

Written By: Wheelington, Hawkes

VERSE 1
I try to focus my eyes
But it’s dark, on the inside
Just like a feeling I lost
Long ago, that I can’t find
Still I’m looking for the answer
Rolling through the scenes we played
Seeing all those broken memories
Breaking in I hear you say

CHORUS
Hey you, get free from the melody (Hey you!)
That plays inside your head
Wake up, wake up from the memory
And save yourself, go on and save yourself

VERSE 2
I keep repeating the lie
To myself, on the inside
There’s got to be a way out
Of my mind, that I can’t find
Still I try and find the answer
How could things end up this way?
I can hear a calling from that memory
Breaking in I hear you say

Chorus Repeat

BRIDGE
Of holding on, when I’m already gone
And I want you to know
You should’ve let me go
Aas I was walking out that door
And now you’re better off, but you just don’t know
Quit knockin’ on my door, and callin’ up my phone
It’s time to get away, from the past you see
Embrace another day, and not a fading memory

Chorus Repeat 2X
